54 plate Ford Cmax 2l TDCI engine, just started belching white smoke in the last 50 miles [67k on clock] . Smoking at tick over [whiteish] but when you increase revs to 2k clouds of white smoke issued. Starts ok, ticks over at 825 RPM, seems to lack the power it had prior to the problem. Never uses to lose oil checked recently and it was ok, had to add a bout a litre yesterday Any suggestions

Hi Gert, If the smoke is more visible during the period after start up in the mornings, I would suspect the valve stem oil seals have become hardened and defective. The oil seeps in slowly passing the seals from the cylinder head. Sounds as though you need a head job. Regards John
Ive a 03 mondeo ghia x, 2l tdci,130bhp have then same cutting out problem, had new battery, new injectors and recoded still the problem is there any1 no y, diognostics test done which was injectors but still no luck same as b4
Ouch! you've got engine coolant in the exhaust from a leak somewhere...DO NOT run this engine until you get someone (dealer is best in this instance) to diagnose ($50-125)
engines don't jump time
the ticking can be a problem hydraulic lifter or faulty rocker
the smoking cab from cracked /failed valve stem seals as they dry out and crack if they were working at all before the extended shut down
you could have an injector rusted up internally
