My 2007 GMC Yukon has locked itself 3X with the keys inside the car and once with the keys in the ignition and the vehicle running. Then my friend put his key from his 2008 GMC Acadia in the door of my car and it unlocked!!! What is going on?

Locks have so many key positions but on a popular vehicle this can happen where they have the same key indentations ,but yopu friend couldnt start your car as it has a chipped key ,but years ago in the car rental we had two fiat puntos parked in the same car park in torrevieja and they got taken by the wrong persons so we had to drive around and find the houses and get the cars back and swop them over .but this was before chipped keys ,also had it with two ford fiestas in benidorm as well

Unfortunately, they seem to be making door handles cheaper now and many people are having problems with them. If it is loose, the only thing you can do is unscrew and pry off the inner door panel and once inside the door, tighten up the connections. Hi! I have 2003 Yukon, the remotes (2X) to lock and unlock doors do not work. I open the locks using my key. Once inside when I tried to unlock doors using the unlock button all doors will be unlocked

change the batteries in the remotes

2004 gmc yukon slt locked keys inside car

Any GM car dealer can cut a duplicate key for your car for about $10. You have to show them a picture ID, and the car ownership (TITLE). This key, without the transponder chip, will let you unlock the car but won't start it. Just tell them that you need a plain car key, without the transponder chip.

2007 gmc yukon denali wont unlock w/ keyfob

Check the buttons.. I have an 06 Grand Prix with the Remote starter on the top and it seems that the conductor on the buttons worn out.. Take the keyfob apart, pull the rubber buttons off the chip, lick your finger and touch the place where the unlock (right side of the fob) would be. That should unlock your doors. I just did it with mine. I would just buy another fob on ebay and change the buttons out.. Hope this works

I have a 2007 GMC Yukon and all of the guages (speed, oil, battery, etc.) recently stopped working for no apparent reason. The backlight still works but the guages do not. Could this be something as simple as a fuse? What should I do?

How come on a 2002 GMC Denali if you lock your key inside

i would say the theft module saw the door trying to be open without the door lock or fob first, once the door lock button was pushed it shut down, it new doors were trying to be unlocked in a theft manner, once shut down it needs time to reset or needs to see ignition cycle with key and read chip in key, smart system isnt it, good luck.
