I have a 92 nissan sentra rear lights wont cut off even when I cut the car off so I have to unhook the battery so it doesn't drain.I took my car to a electrical shop they wanted to charge me $35 because they said I had a short. It seems pretty simple, can I fix this problem myself? Thanks
Yes most likely its only the brake light switch located under driver dash panel attatched to the brake pedal assembly.
the part is no more than 40 dollars.
go under and find it check for poor connections etc first but 80% its the switch gone bad. its not closing the circuit when the pedal comes to rest.
