These vans do not have a "Limp Home" mode.
If you're talking about the code you get when you flip the key forward and back five times.... there is no 39.

I have an 02 dodge Ram 1500,4.7,2nd. I changed my map sensor and now my truck either dies or idles rough. Any ideas what is causing this?

There could be a few different reasons why your truck is experiencing problems after replacing the map sensor. Here are a few things you can try:

Make sure the map sensor is installed correctly. Check the installation instructions and ensure that the sensor is properly seated in the correct location.

Check for any other damage or issues with the engine. If the engine has any other problems, such as a vacuum leak or a faulty ignition system, it could cause the truck to idle rough or stall.

Check for any codes or diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) that may be stored in the engine's computer. These codes can help identify any problems with the engine or other systems that may be causing the issues you are experiencing.

Check the fuel system. If the fuel pump, fuel filter, or fuel injectors are not functioning properly, it could cause the truck to idle rough or stall.

Check the ignition system. If the spark plugs, ignition coil, or ignition con

2005 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7 Engine. Starts fine, Idles fine, but when engine shifts into high gear and RPM lowers engine runs really rough under load

Have you checked for a broken valve spring. Repaired a dodge engine with the same running issue as you have described and it was a broken intake valve spring.

on dodge motors
fitted a lot of parts and still no better

the fault code clears and comes back as a intermittent problem

could be electrical voltage drop off or heat related failure

i wonder if your 02 sensor ,the catalytic converter
or other related sensors
are causing the fault to come back
if needed .....fit a new air filter...

2001 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport 3.3 Wifes van started running very rough last week while in slow moving traffic then stalled out. Code showed "map sensor", got a new one and installed. No change....

A bad vacuum line will cause this code also. Also it will cause a rough idle and stalling. Open the hood and listen for a hissing sound. track it and you,ll find the leak. Also I would just check all the lines to make sure another in not ready to go.

When is the code detected? The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) monitors operation rationality check by comparing sensed throttle position to mass air flow readings
P0068 DODGE Description The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) monitors a vehicle operation rationality check by comparing Throttle Position (TP) to Mass Air Flow (MAF) readings. If, during a self-test, the comparison of the TP sensor and MAF sensor readings are not consistent with the calibrated load values, the test fails and a diagnostic trouble code is stored in continuous memory.

Idles okay, runs rough when gas applied

Either a bad MAP sensor, or TPS. What is the code for the check engine light? This will most likely tell you what it is.

I have a 1994 gmc safari. It seems to have a smooth idle at times

Im not sure if you got it fixed yet! It could possibly be idle air control valve. But here some more suggestions! I had a 94 Safari van 4.3 liter I was working on for about three days and I finally figured out what was wrong with it. It would run fine for a couple minutes and as soon as I hit the gas and let off it would surge, but anyways I ended up changing the distributer, after the fuel pump and filter, mass air flow sensor, egr valve, idle air control valve, map sensor, and ignition module. So that might sove the problem if you were on the same track with it as I was. Hope this helps ya!
