If you go to Autozone or Oreillys they will scan the car for free. You also need to have the old trouble codes erased to see if repairs are effective.

What I have a problem with is the car is capable of showing several defects at once. It is unusual for several items to be bad before 1 item shows up. Each sensor should have coded separately and earlier. Also true for the CAT converter.

Unfortunately your gonna have to take it back to the and have the vechicle scanned for codes again.
Do the repairs the codes dictate.

Where I live there is a Schuck's auto parts...and they have a hand held diagnostic tester that plugs right in to your harness. This will tell you whats is wrong. It only takes about 2 min and they don't charge you.On my car it was the mass air flow censor. If you can't find a Auto parts store that does this...take it to a shop soon. Good Luck

Oil light reading "stop" car rattling when you press on gas

Check the oil level before driving it. It must be low on oil. Find out where the leak is. Look underneath the car at the oil pan's drain plug-maybe the service guys forgot to tighten it, or worse, cross threaded it. If they made a mistake, take it back to them to fix it.

2004 chrysler pacifica no power even after jump

check for a bad connection like a bad ground at the battery, make sure both terminals are tight at the battery, the starter and the ground at the engine. the shop that installed the EGR should have erased the codes, after 50 to 100 miles you would be able to go through emissions.

Hi Team, Good Afternoon. I purchased a 2005 Toyota Corolla 1 month ago (Used Car). As soon as I got the car I got the check Engine light. I took the car to Toyota of Irving and they told me that it was...

Did you buy this from a dealer? if so, you should have taken it back ASAP I dont know why you didnt have the Toyota Dealer fix the car, now your in the middle of a mess, getting 2 shops involved, and the car still has a problem. When you bought the car, whoever you bought it from, knew there was a problem, cleared the code and it took a while for the check engine light to come back on. So now you will just have to pay someont to fix the car. The trans shop told you it needed a converter and solenoid, the problem is still there, so make it their problem. I think you need someone who knows toyota . theres no recall that I know of. Recalls are free, anyhow. . ecm is warranteed 8 years or 80k miles. Have the dealer check it out. Have them Check Bulletin TC008-04 and T-SB-0378-08

Misfire codes on my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Regardless of why the misfire is happening, the shop needs to find and make it right. If you don't return it to them, they can claim it's a new problem, unrelated to the work they did. As I don't have any idea if any sensors were imported with the new engine or if anything was damaged on install, I really can't comment past what I've said.
Hopefully you are dealing with a reputable competent shop...If so, aside from the obvious annoyance, they should definitely take care of the problem for you. I would check fluid levels to make sure that they are good and perhaps even check sensors to make sure they are all on securely but past that I would do nothing more. As far as driving, since you don't know what's wrong, I'd limit driving to only what's necessary but no more.

1998 Saturn SL2 smell of wax paperburning after relatively short drive. Oil light came on on last Thursday so stopped and had oil added. When I arrived home Thursday evening I noticed smell.

Sounds like you spilled a little oil on the engine when you added oil. Don't worry it will burn off by itself as long as you don't have an oil leak somwhere. If the smell doesn't go away after running the engine for 50 miles or so have a shop check the engine for oil leaks.
