There's no such thing as calibrating a spark plug. When I first read the question, I thought to myself- this must be the owner of an import.

Spark plugs do not need calibration!! Although it may need gapping which requires a gapping tool such as a filler guage!! Check your local autozone for this tool and gapping specs for this vehicle!!

a repair manual will probably tell you. it has maintenance schedules, models of commonly replaced parts (spark plugs, oil type, weight etc)

When to change sparks plugs into my echo 2000

Spark plugs are replaced when the electrodes are found to be corroded, burnt, cracked or oil fouled.
Normal spark plugs need to be replaced every subsequent 30,000 Km.
Iridium - tip spark plugs are replaced every 80,000 Km.

I have a 2004 Toyota Vios Soluna. It has 130,000kms and I am wondering if and when I am supposed to change the timing belt? thanks for your help, steve

If it's not specified in the owner manual, and if it's not already been replaced, 90,000 miles (144,000km) is probably the longest you should wait before replacing it.

I found a car toyota echo 2000 model ,183000kms done so how i came to know about timing belt changed or not

good day, first of all you may ask the owner if he has the service manual so you can change the last timing belt changed. secondly you may try to check the belt itself if it has some tiny cracks or a little loose or a little worn. hope this helps, have a nice day

What are the specs for torque of the spark plugs in 2002 Echo

Remove carefully, engine being cold. Aluminum heads have fragile plug threads. Replace with new plug winch should normally be pre-gaped at .043 in (for Bosch Platinum plugs the gap is .032). Tighten snugly but don't use too much force. (I used torque wrench at 15 ft/lb) Replace coil module and reconnect wire and you are done.

Most Echo owners consider the Denso (Part #SK16R11) or NGK (Part #IFR5T11) Iridium plugs to be the best replacement for this vehicle and they can both last for 100,000+ miles.

Good luck and happy new years.

Plug replacement on a 2005 Toyota Echo 4 cyl engine

Hey alanacheson,
The spark plugs are underneath that cover on top of the engine (should say VVTi on the cover).
Just take that cover off, and then you will see the four ignition coils. Take off the four ignition coils (with igniters), and you will see the four relatively long holes underneath, and the spark plugs are at the bottom of those holes. You will need a good spark plug socket (preferably a thin wall socket) and a 6" or 12" extension. This is actually a very easy job, and can be completed in less than an hour.
Hope this helps.
