It is most likely a module, most of the time they are near the blower motor, maybe mounted to where it will go inside the blower box to keep cool, this controls the fan speeds only

BLOWER HEATER FAN SWITCH IS ONLY WORKING ON HIGH SPEED WITH LITTLE HEAT.

The blower motor fan is controlled by the blower motor resistor. Its the resistor which controls the fan on respective speed which you select. But if the resistor goes faulty, then it will not be able to set the required speed which you set for fan,so it works on high speed only. In this case you will have to replace the blower motor resistor. Check fog for the location of blower motor resistor location:--- see part number 8 in the diagram below. helpmech_11.gif

The blower motor resistor is located next to blower motor under the dash. Its fitted with 2 screws and a wiring connector. You have to remove the screws and wiring connector and take the resistor out and place the new resistor in same position and connect the connector as well as screws. ------------------- this should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Lower Blower resistor is defective

Its behind the blower motor. You must remove the blower motor to get to it, its in a very tight space. Hopefully this helps!!

99 Olds intrigue heater fan now only has 1 speed(high). Would this be the fan or the heater control panel?

I just did this fix to mine. It is the blower motor resistor that is located between the fan motor and the firewall. You will have to remove the trim panel, under the dash. Then you will be able to remove the fan motor. The fan plugs directly into the resistor. You can get the part at checker for about $32.

HVAC intermittent problem with 2002 Olds Intrigue

I assume you are talking about whether or not the blower fan is running. I had a similar problem. The likely cause is the resistors that control the motor speed. I took off the resistor pack and because it didn't look like any of the electronics were damaged I replaced the blower motor and that fixed it. One or the other, or both should do it.
Check fuses first.

99 Olds Intrigue, blower fan resistor

It will burn out. Air flow in the heater box cools the resistor. These resistors get very hot when the blower is running.
