2015 Chevy Silverado 2500Hd LT DBL Cab. Lost control of mirrors, all passenger windows, and window locks at drivers door cluster.

I had a vehicle that only one headlight and one turn signal would work. No running lights or brake lights. All fuses were good. It was very confusing. Turned out to be a body control module. Seems like when there is no sense on how something is not working, turns out to be the BCM. Have your vehicle with a scanner.

1997 Buick Park Ave, passenger side and rear windows stopped working.

You say the driver window works? wouldn't be a main fuse or fusible link then -driver door locks and window wouldn't work either. Each door has a module inside (computer) . The driver door has a circuit breaker power feed an a fuse DDM fuse 10amp located in rear junction block circuit breaker is located in under hood maxi fuse block. The circuit breaker also feeds battery voltage to the other door modules too. PDM - passenger door module fuse 10amp located in the instrument panel fuse box and the RDM - rear door module RDM fuse 10amp located in the rear fuse box - under the back seat.

Each power window is connected to a permanent magnet motor. The motor raises or lowers the glass when the door module applies voltage to the motor. The direction the motor turns depends on the polarity of the supply voltage provided by the associated door module. The 2 front doors have their own separate modules. The rear seat contains a single module, which controls both of the rear power windows.
A serial digital communications link, called the simple bus interface, is used for communications between door modules and the driver's door power window switches. The use of serial digital communications allows the use of a single wire to convey switching information between the power door lock switch and the driver's door module (DDM). The serial communication is also used in order to transmit switching information from the DDM to the other 2 door modules.
The door modules apply battery voltage of the correct polarity to the respective window motor when any local, or power door lock switch, UP switch is operated, driving the window up. Battery voltage is applied to the respective window motor in the opposite polarity when any local, or power window switch, DOWN switch is operated, driving the window down.

Driver Door Module (DDM)
The driver's door module (DDM) directly controls the driver's door window motor and the express down window feature. The DDM sends window UP/DOWN messages received from the power door lock switch to the passenger door module (PDM) and to the rear door module (RDM) over the simple bus interface (SBI) line. The DDM also contains a class 2 data link which communicates with the other vehicle system modules. The left front power door locks and the outside power mirror are also controlled through the DDM.
Passenger Door Module (PDM)
The passenger door module (PDM) controls the passenger's door window motor. The PDM controls the passenger's door window directly from the right front power window switch or from instructions over the simple bus interface (SBI). The right front power door locks and the outside power mirror are also controlled through this module.
Rear Door Module (RDM)
The rear door module (RDM) controls both of the rear door window motors. The RDM controls the rear windows directly from the rear door window switches or from instructions over the simple bus interface (SBI).

Hi, I'm trying to diagnose a non-working front passenger side power window switch on a 2008 Escalade. Only the lock/unlock function works. The window, mirror and mirror turn signal don't.

Yes they run a wire loom that has wires that are not used in some models. One thing you need to check is the wire loom because it flexes every time the door opens and closes and wires can break .Also you may want to go to autozone website and make a free account, you can put in the year make and model and look for the free repair guides for wire diagrams.

Do you know anything about automotive electronic's ? Serial data Communication network ? Electronic module's inside the vehicle doors , communicate commands ! No relay ,no fuse .
If the passenger mirror is selected and a direction switch is activated, the DDM sends a serial data message to the PDS indicating that the passenger mirror was selected and the direction to be commanded. The PDS will then supply battery voltage and ground to the appropriate control circuits for the direction selected.
DDM - driver's door module

Door Lock System Components
The power door lock system consists of the following components:
• Driver door module (DDM)
• Passenger door module (PDM)
• Door lock relay--Located in the instrument panel (I/P) fuse block and controls the locking of the rear doors.
• Door unlock relay--Located in the I/P fuse block and controls the unlocking of the rear doors
• Body control module (BCM)
• IP BEC
• Reversible door lock actuators in each door

Power Window System Components
The power window system consists of the following components:
• Driver door module (DDM)
• Body control module (BCM)
• Passenger door module (PDM)
• Rear door power window switches
• Power window motors in each of the doors (circuit breaker protected)

Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop that has a diagnostic scanner that can pull code's an view input data form these systems . There is one circuit breaker for the window's an fuse's for the lock's . I would think a data network problem . But that would be a guess , without testing anything is possible on these .

Power windows an locks work ok ? Do you know anything about automotive electeronic control modules ?
Power Mirror System
Power Mirror System Components
The power mirror system consists of the following components:
• Driver Door Switch (DDS)--An electronic control module with integrated switches and requires programming when replaced
• Passenger Door Switch (PDS)--An electronic control module with integrated switches, requires programming when replaced
• Power Mirror Direction Switch--Integrated into DDS and is a 4 position momentary switch that provides a signal input to the DDS for up, down, left/extend and right/retract with a mirror switch activation
• Mirror Select Switch--Integrated into DDS and is a 3 position switch that allows the operator to select the left or right mirror and also a neutral/fold position
• Left Outside Power Mirror--Contains both the vertical and horizontal mirror motors
• Right Outside Power Mirror--Contains both the vertical and horizontal mirror motors
• Body Control Module--An electronic control module that requires programming when replaced, serves as the power mode master and is the main message handler
• Memory Switch, if equipped with memory mirrors--Supplied power by the DDS and provides a voltage signal to the DDS upon a switch activation
• Horizontal and Vertical Position Sensors, if equipped with memory mirrors--Supplied a 5-volt and low reference by the DDS/PDS and provide a variable voltage signal to the DDS/PDS that is proportional to mirror position
• Powertrain Control Module (PCM), if equipped with memory mirrors--An electronic control module that requires programming when replaced and provides the message indicating transmission gear selection
• Driver Information Center (DIC), if equipped with memory mirrors--Part of the instrument cluster which is a an electronic control module that requires programming when replaced and is used to personalize the memory recall functions
• Fold Motor, in each of the outside mirrors, if equipped with power fold mirrors--Provides extend and retract movements of the mirror and is serviced as a complete mirror assembly
Each of the outside power mirrors contains 2 reversible motors to provide horizontal and vertical movement of the mirror glass. The vertical motor operates the up and down directions and the horizontal motor operates the left and right directions. If equipped with power folding mirrors, each outside power mirror will contain a reversible fold motor to operate the extend and retract functions. Each of the mirror motors are circuit breaker protected.

Do you know what DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes are ?
DTC B1023
Circuit/System Description
The driver door switch (DDS) and front passenger door switch (PDS) each contain switches that control power door lock and window functions. The DDS also contains the control switch for the power outside rear view mirrors. These switches are integrated within the door control modules and are not serviceable as separate components. The DDS and PDS monitor these switch inputs for internal faults and set B1023 00 if any are detected.

You could have any number of problems an without testing , hooking up a scanner that can check DTC'S in the door module ,electrical circuit testing etc... we'd only be guessing . Your best bet mite be to take it to a qualified repair shop.
