The mass flow sensor on the 1999 intrigue is along the intake tube right after the air filter intake housing. Loosen the two clamps that hold the MAF sensor between the Air filter box cover and air intake tube, disconnect the wire leads at the MAF sensor connection and remove the MAF. Note it's uncommon for the MAF sensor to go bad and 95% of the time, cleaning it with MAF sensor with MAF cleaner will fix any problem it may of had to trigger the DTC codes.
Start with trying to clean it first just by following the instruction on the MAF cleaner. This should save you time and money to get your Intrigue running 100% again soon.
Good luck and thank you for using Fixya.

Would a problem be caused to use a 2003 Suzuki Esteem Mass Air Flow Sensor on a 2002 since it seems to be working great

They have to be exactly the same part electrically,etc

No way to know that unless the part number & application is the same

Your cars pcm won't have proper air flow readings if you don't
have the correct sensor

Are they the same,Don't know,that is up to you to research

Exact location of the iat sensor on a nissan pathfinder 1996

The Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor/Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is located in the air cleaner case.
// // 0) preLoad.src = ctl00_cphLeft_chRepairTreeNav_tvTOC_ImageArray[i]; } ctl00_cphLeft_chRepairTreeNav_tvTOC_Data.lastIndex = 34; ctl00_cphLeft_chRepairTreeNav_tvTOC_Data.populateLog = theForm.elements['ctl00_cphLeft_chRepairTreeNav_tvTOC_PopulateLog']; ctl00_cphLeft_chRepairTreeNav_tvTOC_Data.treeViewID = 'ctl00$cphLeft$chRepairTreeNav$tvTOC'; ctl00_cphLeft_chRepairTreeNav_tvTOC_Data.name = 'ctl00_cphLeft_chRepairTreeNav_tvTOC_Data'; //]]>

The Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is an integral part of the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor. Looks like this:
