Where is the bank 2 sensor 1 oxygen sensor on a 2005 mazda tribute?

Bank 2 is the bank of cylinder that DOESN'T have number one cylinder in it, O2 sensor 1 is the one that is before the catalytic converter.

Mazda tribute 2003 with 106,000 miles enging light flashing the car shakes when idlle and lwoers when driving

If the check engine light is flashing you should probably get it scanned to see which coil(S) need replacing. When the light flashes it means that something is seriously wrong. STOP driving. If you continue to drive it will melt your catalytic converters. I have had customers that get the misfire issues repaired and come back maybe a month or two later with burnt converters. Converters are not cheap either.

2004 mazda tribute idles high and manifold glows red hot after only 20 minutes after running

When you say manifold, I assume you mean the exhaust manifold. If its the one you can see (there is an exhaust manifold on the back of the engine also for the rear 3 cylinders) its a clogged or fried catalytic converter. There are a couple of catalytic converter cleaners on the market you can try, but most likely it will need to be replaced. Was there another problem recently i.e. bad coil pack etc?

Where are 'Bank one' 'Sensor one' located on the 2002 Mazda Tribute ES

if it's a four cylinder motor it only has one bank of cylinders, sensor one is going to be the one before the catalytic converter, should be visible under the hood. if it is a V6 then bank one is going to be the one closest to the very front of the vehicle, again sensor one is going to be the one BEFORE the catalytic converter.

2002 mazda tribute how many converters?

Ford Escape and Mazda Tribute same engine same problem check out Catalytic Converter problems on both in the long run will have to replace all 3 of the converters may blow a hole in the EGR valve too. Go for after market parts will save you money and not going thru a dealership will help but expect to pay close tto $1,800 mostly due to labor to replace these parts. If you have a check engine light try going to Auto parts store and use their computer to check out code. Not getting this fixed will leave you stranded when it goes. Vehicle will suddenly bogg down and trust me when your doing 60 mph on the hwy. and suddenly this happens to you not a good feeling. Hope this helps.

I blew out two EGR Valves within a week(Hole was blown in the exact same place on both). Pressure build up is the obvious problem. I am being told the catalytic converter is clogged. Do you concur? Do you...

moz-screenshot.pngmoz-screenshot-1.pngmoz-screenshot-2.pngYes I would agree that one or more of your Cats are bad. I would suggest you have a pressure check done on your exhaust system to determine what cats are bad and have your SUV scanned to determine if you have any misfires that have lead to the accumulation of soot or burnt fuel in your catalytic converters. egrvalve-hole.jpgegrvalve-hole.jpg
