Check the ball joint, tie rods ( inner and outer ), sway bar end link and the strut for a broken spring or strut mount/bearing. It could also be something as simple as the battery being loose. I hope this was helpful for you.

Have your shocks check out it might be broken internally. or the mounting hardware is loose or worn out. and if you have anti-sway bars they could be loose or worn as well

Gas leaking front passenger side of ford windstar

Have you looked under the hood? (I don't mean to sound like a wise guy.) There are two shiney metal pipes one on the front of the engine and one on the rear as you look at it from the front. They run from right to left on the engine. These are the fuel racks that feed the fuel injectors, (assuming that you have a 3 litre or larger v6 engine). These can concievably rust at the left, (passenger), end and blow gasoline out the passenger side. It is also possible that gas could be leaking anywhere on the engine and roll off the passenger side of the engine or if the fuel line on the driver's side has rusted over a cross member of the frame and possibly roll to the passenger side. Also, there is pretty good pressure on the fuel line when it is running. If there is a rust hole on the right side of the line itself, it could spray to the passenger side, hit something and drip off from there. These are just possibilities. Good luck. Jeff M.

Wobble when I hit the breaks at high speeds 60 to 65mph

Its possible one of the new rotors was dropped before it was installed.
If it only happens when you hit the brakes it almost has to be a brake rotor out of round or a slick spot on the surface.
Same thing with the slow speed grab. It could also be on the rear instead of the fronts.

Front driver side suspension knock over bumps

See if you can bounce car and replicate the noise. If you can, you should be able to find it, and put your hand on it. Stabilizer bushing are a place to look, both at the lower a arm and on the frame. If you narrow it down to the strut, it will need to be replaced. The front trans mount also goes bad, try putting it in drive with your foot on the brake and give it some gas and see if the engine moves an excessive amount.

Find and replace speed sensor

Hi,

On Top of the Transmission. You can see the Black sensor just under the Air Breather Intake assembly in front of the driver side. It has an electrical wire connection and is bolted onto the tranny with (2)5/16" hex head bolts and (1)1/2" nut that holds the throttle arm to the sensor. Very easy to replace.

Thanks.

Squealing on the driver's side on a 1998 Ford Explorer

Perhaps a look at the ball joints and tie rod would be helpful. These are notorius on Fords and particularly on older ones with many miles. Do you have quite a bit of play in the steering wheel when turning it? Another hint.

If these are worn out, they can be dangerous at higher speeds but I can certainly understand the reluctance to replace these on an older car. I just had mine replaced at ~$1300 (you may do it cheaper yourself) but I plan ot keep my 98 for several more years ... everything is running well so I took the chance.
