I have a 92 Plymouth Laser with 12,000 miles. The fuel went bad while in storage. The tank was removed and cleaned and the fuel pump and filters were replaced. The car runs rich and surges and is worse...

Did you check fuel pressure after replacing the pump ?
If the regulator fails, it would either not maintain normal pressure, or leak fuel into the vac hose.
If the mass airflow meter fails, it won't run and the check engine light would be on.
Have you watched the O2 sensor and engine temp sensor on a scanner to see what they are reading ?

92 PLYMOUTH LASER... It doesn't seem to be shifting out of third gear... when I press the gas, I have to press on it real hard and it doesn't seem to want to go easily.

Sounds like one of the solenoids is plugged up with dust from the clutches in the transmission.

Have you had the transmission flushed and filled within the last 30,000 miles?

We understand that your problem is: 92 Jeep

This is a typical master cylinder failure. PRE bleed a new m/c and install that.

92 plymouth laser rs turbo when i come off clutch in first gear car shakes or stutters problem comin out of first

Your driving a '94 laser... thats definately a large portion of your problem. I would take it to a salvage yard, part it out, or sell it for scrap. Then take that money, invest in a huffy bicycle and the only problems you should ever encounter is the tires going flat or the seat being a pain in your rear parts.

Common problems with 92 honda 5 speed

A/C Problem usuallyabout 200,000 miles (specifically high pressure hose leaks and compressor clutch usually within 30,000 miles of the hose going.)
At about 250,000 miles or so the main relay goes usually at about 290,000 Torque convertor in Automatic Transmission starts to slip.. Manual tranny can't say too much there depends on how you drive . replace clutches at every 50K or at 150K depends on driver. The cat and the mufflers usually go at abot 190,000 give or take (depends how much water you drove threw). Lastly fast idle cam valve about every 120,000. As you can see this is a great car to own.

92 jeep cherokee, manual, gear shift resistance

hi, if when you put it into gear and you lift your foot off the clutch then if your engine revs up without the actual power going to the wheels like when you say the revs change this indicates that your clutch is slipping, i wouldnt say their was a problem with either the cylinder master or slave and i wouldnt say it needed flushing out the problem you are having it that your clutch is slipping due to it being to low.

You need to get the clutch replaced sooner rather than later due to the fact that if your clutch plate shatters due to it being running on the rivets and not the actual clutch plate then this can cause the clutch to collapse and this will then cause damage to the master and slave cylinder and if you was driving at the time you would have no clutch at all and the car would be stuck in gear and you wouldnt be able to tow it as it would be stuck in gear.

You need to get the clutch and pressure plate the thrust bearing changed this will then solve your problem.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Low oil pressure light comes on and engine clatters after warms up. 92 plymouth laser

I am sorry, but it sounds like your oil pump has gone out or is going out. I am sure that you have checked the oil and added it until it is full. If you would like to try to save the engine, you will need to take off the oil pan and change out the oil pump.

92 Honda Accord, 5 speed, hard shifting into first & second gear.

First thing to do,try to pump your clutch before you shift into 1st gear then if you feel makes better, most probably you have problem with your hydraulic clutch system, check the clutch line if there is an evidence of fluid leaking or it could be internal leak.

Second thing to do, check your transmission oil, may be it' s too old or you use a thick oil thats why when cold its hard to shift then when the engine rich the normal temperature(warm) the oil become thin and the shifting will smooth. Remember the very old oil become thicken and the purity is gone and can cause of hard shifting. in this regards i suggest you to change the transmission oil and check the used oil if there is small peace of metals, then you are in big trouble,
