I have a 1999 Cadillac I changed thr battery and My radio will not come on .I was told I need a security code . I do not have the code can you help?

If the battery was disconnected or radio fuse removed something that prevented the current from getting to the radio, as far as I know if it isn't written in the owners manual or inside the glove box, If it's bot there you need to visit a dealer wlth the VIN and proof of ownership and thet will give you thr code. Who did the battery replacement? I'd take it back ask them to help you figure it out. Could be there is a security issue so the Radio stays on as an alarm. Many radios have a security code that needs to be re entered any time a battery is changed or other wiring is changed. or Fuses blow. Check Owners manual for troubleshooting and details about radio security code. Dealer may have code tied to Vin number.

You will need to contact Cadillac service at your local dealership. Give them the serial number on the radio. They can then pull the anti theft lock code from their companies archive. The serial number on the radio is typically tied to a VIN, but since you bought just the part, they can't search that way. Hope that helps.

If you do not have the manual then you need to go to the BMW service centre to get this code.

When the battery is removed it sets a security alert code. You should have a code in manual to reset the audio security issue. If no code call local dealer and have VIN # ready.

you need to go to the dealership and have them type in the radio synchro code. that will than allow you to type in the security code

check the manual for a code in it should be 4 to 6 digits if its not in there you will have to ring the manufacteror for the reset code hope that helped thats what my mum did and they told her
