Oil in 1997 Chrysler LHS Base 6 Cyl 3.5L spark plug tube. Just changed spark plugs and spark plug wires and found cylinder # 3 filled with oil. How do I replace spark tube seal.
Although I am not familiar with this particular engine my son's Mazda Miata had oil in the plug holes and it only required a new valve cover gasket to fix it.

if your engine run before you changed anything, and you are talking about a 3.0 engine, you have to be careful changing wires on this engine, you need toonly change one wire at a time, the distributor cap on this engine is just stupid. if you look under the cap you'll see that a wire on the one side of the cap actually has a contact that leads to the other side of the cap. cly 5 cyl 6 cyl 3 cyl 4 cyl 1 cyl 2 front of engine
if your looking at distributor cap from front of engine, two screws hold down cap. look at the screw closest to the front, from that screw second hole to the left is #1. firing order is 123456 #2 wire will be at that front screw on cap, keep installing wires counter clockwise.

Try removing air inlet hose at throttle body, and open plate up by turning throttle linkage slightly (engine off) and spray a shot ( second or 2 ) of WD-40 into throttle body, then try to start and see if it try's to start, or starts for a second then dies. If it does, you got a fuel delivery problem. Can you hear fuel pump hum at all in rerar of car when you turn key just to on position? (not start)
Bottom passenger side of oil pan. On the side of the pan. It is a
metric bolt and the pan is aluminum, be careful not to strip plug when
threading it back in.
If it ran good prior to spark plug replacement, then yes, I'd be looking real close at the plug wire to that particular spark plug. Perhaps it pulled apart inside boot upon removal. It may even be an indication that they are all getting weak, and time to think about a new set if it's originals.
Torx bit,for cover on the center manifold black cover. 5/8 spark plug socket and rachet and extension bar3/8 drive. Lift out spark plug wires there is a long tube going to plugs.
