During the winter my screen and windows steam up

During the winter my windscreen and windows steam up very quickly. I've fitted a new pollen filter as I was told this would solve the problem but it made no difference. The only think that seems to help it is to set the windscreen fan on full speed with the aircon on,if i change the setting to auto or switch the aircon off or select any other airflow position it will soon fog up.I've owned the car for 3 years and get the same problem every year, please help. ... Not really a solution.. but I have the same problem, I was told by a Jaguar dealer this was due to the aircon system not clearing the water outlet while standing and when you want the screen to clear it re-evaporates the water and this mists it up!
He said there was no fualt (typical) and the way to clear it was to put the fans on high - I did this and it comes back misty soon after. I just set the manual airflow over the screen higher than normal.
Basically the aircon system is rubbish!

Yep I have same problem. I have to put air con on to clear screen. However have had a similar problem with other cars with air con. But Jaguar for the cost of these cars should deliver a more dependable and reliable aircon system. I've spent 2K on my S-Type air-con this year, ridiculous!

Please can you tell me where the pollen filter is located on a Citroen C15 ?

depending on year and made. one is it can be around the glove box area. slide in and clipped into place. other one is passide engine bay under the windscreen plastic cut out. other is in same area but more to the middle. really depends on what heater/a/c is fitted.

1998 dodge durango window fog

may be a blocked vent in the windscreen vents. could be at the windscreen end or at the controler in the heater. if you dont have a pollen filter fitted rubbish from the road i.e leaf's can get in and block it up.

Where is pollen filter on peugeot 607 2005

To replace the cabin filter it is straight forward, open the bonnet, carefully unlatch the plastic cover near the windscreen, with the key in the off position move the windscreen wiper stalk this would cause the wipers to move and park in a vertical position allowing the removal of the plastic cover, Note how it fits under the windscreen, the filter can then be removed and replaced, all in all 10 minutes!

2007 Chrysler 300. When outside temperature is below 30 degrees, I cannot keep the windows clear of moisture and fog. Even the defroster on high has difficulty clearing and keeping the windows clear. I do...

If your car has an air conditioner turn it on as well as the heater . Air conditioned air is very dry and usually defrosts the windscreen quickly. The heat from the heater will overcome the cold air from the air/con. It is good for the air/con to be run during the winter months as well as summer, it stops the seals drying out and leaking refrigerent.

Help my focus 02 has water underneath the right hand drivers side carpet the padding is wet we have had a lot of bad weather snow rain could this be the cause of the leak and where should i look thanks

I had a similar problem on my Focus but water was getting under the nearside passengers carpet (Mine is a right hand drive in the UK). I eventually took it to my servicing dealer who knew straight away that it is something to do with the way the windscreen is fitted. (I had previously had the screen replaced but as there was some time between that and me noticing the wet I had not made the connection). In my case the rain water was running down the windscreen behind the black plastic which is at the bottom and then apparently it was dripping through a filter (pollen filter?) into the car interior. The dealer sealed between the windscreen and the plastic with a black mastic stuff and it fixed it. Some time after when I had to have another windscreen replaced I mentioned this to the windscreen fitter who told me that it was likely that the previous fitter had not correctly re-fitted some sort of "gutter" component which is designed to direct water which gets behind the plastic, safely away to a drain area . That is, it stops it going through the filter into the car interior. Anyway whenever the dealer services the car and replaces the filter, (he has to remove the plastic cover to do that I think) he always seals the plastic cover to the windscreen with the mastic stuff so I've had no problem since. Perhaps in your case its a similar thing and the water is just finding its way over to the drivers side? I hope this is relevant and helps. Good Luck.

Pollen filter replacement

A LOT OF POLLEN FILTERS ARE LOCATED IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT JUST BELOW THE WINDSCREEN, NOT SURE WHICH SIDE, ALSO SOMETIMES UNDER THE COVER WHERE THE WINDSCREEN WIPERS ARE.

2005 a3 1.6 where is the air/pollen filter and how to change? Thanks Mike.

Most pollen filters on this model are fitted in the bulkhead, below a plastic trim panel at the base of your windscreen, below the tax disc. Lift the panel and you'll be able to slide the panel air filter forwards and away. Hope this helps you? Good luck
