I have a 1991 RS Camaro v 8 I dont know if It is electrical or some fuse. It wont start .The headlights work so I know the battery works. The starter and alternater is new.Ialso know its not the cylinoid. Can it be a fuse.

Your headlights are not a really good indicator of how much usable amperage capacity your battery has, or the condition of the connections. You need to clean all connections, check the battery with both a volt meter and load tester. Any problems there must be corrected before doing any further testing or all tests will be invalid. "new" parts are not always good. I'd test them again once the battery stuff I mentioned has been properly tested.

Does the car have a security system? if it does, it may be a fuse in the security system keeping the car from starting. have the battery LOAD tested, this will test the AMPS of the battery not the volts. you may even have bad battery cables(3) they do corrode over time.

Wont start after running for a while. service lights work, radio, headlights but wont crank. just replaced starter, got new battery about a month ago. after 5-8 hours car starts with no problems.

Hot does make a difference. You say it won't start, but does it crank and not start, or not even crank? If cranks but will not start, any electrical part may fail as it heats, and when you shut it off the engine gets much hotter since coolant is no longer circulating. Thus, a marginal crank or cam sensor, or coil/ignition module may work while cold of while engine is running, but fail when you first turn car off.

How do i fix the tach on my 91 camaro rs its pegged out and wont move how to get it working agian. Previous owner pegged it out

I don't know about the older panels, but on newer ones, remove the IP, turn it clockwise and let the needle come around to 0 Plug it back in and check before you reassemble. if it doesn't work replace the TAC electric motor.

I have a 1991 rs camaro 305 . I just replaced the starter motor when i went to hook back up the battery the starter motor began to spin. Need some help?

sounds as if you have connected the heavy battery wire to the wrong side of the solenoid, there are two large wires on the solenoid one goes into the starter and the other is from the battery. A smaller wire is needed for energising the solenoid. When you turn the key the solenoid is energized becoming an electromagnet, this does two things, 1 engages with the engine 2 connects the two heavy poles to spin the starter and start the engine .
Check you have refitted the wires correctly

My '91 Camaro RS is not receiving power from the

Check earth point going from the battery to the chassis for a lose or corroded connection, also some cars have a fuse relay right before the positive clamp on the battery. if your headlights turn on when the car is off than it may be a ignition wiring problem. also check the plugs on your ecu.

Yes, I have had to change the ignition decoder on my 91 camaro. If u have a second key to the car, try it, to make sure it is not a defective chip in the key.

I have a 91 camaro rs i put a starter in it it wont start. the guy i got it from made a new key at a chevy dealer i think why wont it do anything. ty john

If the key turns, that's all it needs to do. Check, with a test light, to see if you have power to the starter. It could be a dirty loose battery cable, or a faulty cable, or a fuseable link in the positie cable that is gone. It could be the ignition switch itself. Not the key and tumbler, the switch on the steering column. You'll have to do some checking.
