I have a 1998 Buick LeSabre when I start the car it sounds like the car is still trying to start. When I but it into reverse or drive it will stop. I turned the key with out starting the car and ran through the gears then it started without any problem. What could the problem be? could it be the neutral safety switch? If so where is it located and is it a simple project to fix? Thanks Bill

it sounds like you need a rebuild. blackish fluid indicates clutch failure.

Try spraying some carb. cleaner or starting fluid into the engine . If it starts you have a fuel delivery problem , if not check for spark .

sounds like blower motor relay is hanging up
replace relay

This sounds to me like an anti theft system failure. When your key does not communicate well will the TDM (theft deterrent module) in your vehicle, the car thinks it is being stolen and trys to prevent this by shutting down. It all stems from that little black chip in your key. sounds like you have a short in the horn wiring or a bad ground wire these grounds are mostly located under the engine compartment near the back wall whitch is called the fire wall or beside the fenders

transmission is junk(remove dipstick and if fluid brown and smells burnt)

no they fire off individual coil packs one could be bad and not letting it start
