Not normally does a body control module go bad, but it can happen. Even when your owners manual might tell you that a certain fuse goes to a certain switch or etc. it's always best to get a test light and check both sides of every fuse in the fuse blocks. Sometimes they will complete the circuit through another fuse. But test both sides of every fuse with a text light. This is cheap and easy insurance. And it doesn't take long at all. Make sure you do a fuse check with the key in every possible position. Some fuse will only test in key on, key start, acc, and etc. hope this helps. If you don't have a test light. They are very inexpensive at pretty much anywhere that sells fuses.

You can spray some lube down both sides of the tract. This will help it from sticking. Most likely though the regulator is wearing out. Watch the window as it is going up. If it tilts a little bit, it is the regulator.
