Remove the wheel. Unbolt the caliper from the back, i believe there are two bolts that hold it in place on the tracker. Make sure you remeber the placement of the 2 bolts, sometimes they are not identical and you do not want to accidentally mix them up. Slide the caliper up off the brake disk. Remove the old pads, check which pad has the "squealer" ( a small metal piece that rubs against the disk to make you aware of a worn pad.) With the pads removed, use an 8" C clamp to compress the cylinder into the caliper, keep compressing cylinder until it is all the way in the caliper. Then, simply put the new pads back in the caliper, making sure the inner and outer match the ones that were removed (look for that "sqealer"). Slide the caliper back over the disk and put the 2 bolts back in place, again make syre they go right back where they belong, do not mix them up. Tighten bolts. When all the pads have been replaced, pump the brakes several time, with the engine running to adjust them. They will feel squishy at first but will firm up with a few pumps. Check the front brakes first, they tend to wear long before the rear brakes and probably do not need changing yet. Good luck

2004 Chevrolet Tracker. What size serpentine belts are on it.

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved to sub category.

You order them to the vehicle, not by size. The three belts are here with the OEM Parts numbers. Parts suppliers have a book with all the makes, models and years, and that book tells them the length, width and form, (ribbed or plain).
https://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/2004/chevrolet/tracker/drive_belts/accessory_drive_belt.html

You can also pick them up from Walmart, or eBay.

Replace the fan belt 2003 chevy tracker 2.0

Jerald, You will have to remove the the accessory belt first I believe by putting appropriate wrench on tensioner and pulling tensioner toward passenger side to allow removal of the belt. Then you will loosen alternator to let tension off fan belt and replace the fan belt. Reverse procedure to install. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

I am trying to replace the serpentine belt on a 2001 Chevy Tracker and I need a detailed diagram to tell me how to identify the tention wheel and what I need to do in order to release the tention wheel and...

The ventures serpentine belt can be removed and replaced by releasing pressure on the tensioner. Just take your large socket wrench and insert the square head into the square slot on the tensioner and use it to release tension on the belt.

I need a serpentine belt/routing diagram 2000 chevy tracker.

For the 2000 Chevrolet Tracker:

Most modern vehicles have the Belt Routing Diagrams on the undeside of the Hood. But the sometimes disappear.

I do not know if you have the 1.6L In-Line 4-Cylinder, or the 2.0L DOHC In-Line 4-Cylinder. Nor what Engine Options you have (AC/No AC, etc.).

Let me know if this helped, or if you have additional information or questions. Feel Free to contact me at FixYa.com!

How do i change the serpentine belt on my 1999 chevy tracker

First, keep this diagram around as you will need it to route the serpentine belt when you reinstall it. There may also be a diagram under the hood by the radiator.
