SOURCE: Trying to find location of oil pressure sending

Your best bet is to get the Haynes Repair manual on your vehicle to locate this and make this repair.

SOURCE: Where is the oil pressure sensor / sending unit on

It is at the very top rear of the engine behind the intake to the right of the distributor on a thin lip of metal of the engine block.

Temp on 96 Sonoma going up and down ?

Check the radiator with an inferred temperature gun. Check each tube to make sure that all tubes have the same temperature. If they don't, then you have a radiator that is partly clogged.
