Try 9883.
You will need to re-check that serial number. They usually start with either a V or an M followed by six or seven numbers. To get it try pressing and holding buttons 1 and 6 together for two or three seconds. Other combinations to try are 2 + 6 or 2 + 5.
If the serial number is a V code you have no choice but to go to Ford for it.

Hi Paul, You can check out the link below for more information or take your registration papers with your licence (licence is to prove YOU own the car) to a car dealer ie: Holden, Ford, Chrysler and ask at the sales office for the RADIO SECURITY PIN NUMBER, You'll receive your Radio security pin number and Radio serial number. These numbers belong to your car and once you have them DON'T loose them because in Australia some dealers charge a fee and some don't.... Usually, there is a supplemental manual (just a few pages long) that is with the owner's manual. It will tell you the code and the process to enter it. If you don't have it, you'll have to contact the dealer (who might tell you bad news). I would consider an aftermarket deck if they say you'll have to replace it.

Check your hand book should be written in the back

get the code from the dealer .but may be asked to prove the car is your first.

call ford and tell them the 17 digit serial number of the car.if that doesnt work
call or go to ford online and enter the vin .i 'm not sure why your local dealer didnt want to help but you should be able to get that info

hi there sharondav are u able to remove unit & look for serial no. on side unit serial no. starts with m & is six figure no.u need radio pins to take unit out which u can purchase at local car accessories or if you ask nicely u can ask u r local ford garage to take unit out it you can i will be able to get radio code for u.
