SOURCE: 2000 FORD CROWN VIC GETTING POWER TO STARTER ,BATTERY FULL CHARGE CAR WONT TURN OVER

I would check for voltage at the starter from the battery and from the key switch via the neutral safety switch.
If there is no voltage at the starter from the battery check the fuseable link wires and the ground connections.

SOURCE: 2007 ford freestar no crank no start. Battery is good if starter is good

If you can hear the starter engage the flywheel but the engine does not turn over the next step would be ruling out physical seizing of the motor. The most common approach is to remove the accessory belt(s) then turn the engine manually by rotating the crankshaft pulley with an appropriate size socket and breaker bar. If you are unable to turn the crankshaft the motor is seized, in most cases this means your into an overhaul or replacement motor. In some cases this can be caused by what is referred to as hydra-locking, in this case the engine can be saved easily without any damage if handled correctly. SOURCE: 2004 ford freestar 4.2l Not charging, new alternator tested and working new battery.

Hotrod, Recheck, clean and tighten all connections. If you say you had new alternator tested and is working OK, the new battery must be defective. With the van running, use a DVO meter and check the battery, if it shows above 14 volts then the alternator is OK, a good battery should show 12.4, that leaves either a faulty battery not holding a charge or you have a parasitic draw(something draining battery). Which would have to be diagnosed by a good Tech.
Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

2004 Ford Sport Trac will not start when you turn the key ..the lights flicker on the inside of the truck we changed the battery car is sitting idle in the driveway

If the new battery is fully charged, then you have a poor connection on one of the large wires going from the battery to the engine/starter. Or possibly the starter itself.

2005 ford freestar wont start

Check the battery. If the battery is weak all you will hear is the starter soliniod clicking. Make sure that all of the cables have good clean tight connections.
Most Auto parts stores can test your battery to see what shape it is in.

Car won't crank & makes a clicking noise when ignition is turned.

Is this the original battery? Have u had it tested? The no crank, clicking noise is classic dead battery symptoms, lights can still work, but not enough power to turn engine over. If it's the original battery, it's at the end of it's life cycle, and should be replaced. U can get the battery tested for free at any parts store.

2005 Ford Freestar Want start sometimes.

A late reply; I'm sure you have found the problem by now-
It sounds as if the battery (old and new) are not receiving sufficient charge.
Check the drive belt tension and add a cheap digital multimeter to your 'tools.'  These can be had for well under $20 US and you can then check across the battery terminals to see if the charge voltage is between ~ 13-14.3 volts at an idle. In no case should it be lower than 13 volts with the engine running since the nominal battery voltage is 12.6 volts when fully charged.
You may have a separate regulator that is ill.
