I have a 2000 4.3 liter vortec and its showing a misfire on number 5 and i have checked all the basics and then some. it hesitates trying to start except for first thing in the morning

It could be a fuel or compression problem that is causing your misfire. To eliminate a clogged injector as a possible cause, you can swap injectors between cylinders and see if the fault follows the injector in question. Or it could be a fouled or incorrectly gapped spark plug causing the misfire. Do a compression check with the engine warm, preferably right after a misfire event.

My 06 Jeep Liberty is reading its having multiple misfires the check engine light and traction control light is on in the dash truck starts and runs but pulls really sluggish my coils are firing ecu ?

why not say the code, let us decide what they mean.
P0300 code, in fact post all DTCs not just one if more......!!!
this code means MISFIRE< (that sluggish is that , misfiring)
cause by bad COMBUSTION.

1: bad spark ever to a tuneup? ever?
2: bad compression on the P030x (what is x) cylinder.
3: bad injection to P030x cylinder.

do post all codes. first.

1995 4.3 MISSING WHEN WARMED UP

Is the check engine light on? An OBD II code P0300 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected could indicate a bad crank position sensor causing a misfire. Another possibilty would be the coil or distributor cap. The 95 and 96 were notorious for burning distributor caps. My 96 used to burn one once a month which is why Chevrolet stopped using them and went to multiple coils. More information would be helpful in diagnosing the problem

Po304

P0304 Code indicates a misfire on cylinder 4
Most likely causes for this are bad wire, bad spark plug, bad coil(s) or bad dist cap if so equiped.
A vacuum leak can also cause a misfire.
Seeing the vehicle is going on 13 years old replacing the wires and the plugs would be a good place to start, and could be the solution

My eclipse has developed a misfire after it has been driven for about an hour or so! after the engine really warms up the rpm gauge will spike slightly and the car will shutter a little bit and it slowly...

You didn't need a different distributor, just the sensor in it,if it was bad. That now appears questionable.
When it heats up,your ignition module,is breaking down, under load, and your getting a misfire. That would be a possible cause.
Codes don't always indicate a bad part, only the symptom, of the real issue. e.g.(Misfire)

Try changing out your distributer cap and rotor button. Let me know if that solves your problem.

Misfire and low power, think its the o2 sensor because i already checked the plugs and wires, fuel filter, fuel pump, but i also havent checked the distributor cap or rotary button, could it be the o2...

First off there is no distributer cap or button. There are three individual coils. Instead of a distributer it is computer controlled ignition(spark).
Your service engine light should be on above your gas gage on your dash. You need to have the computer scanned for trouble codes. There are many components that may be causing the problem. Even if one of the 2 o2 sensors is bad there is probably something else causing problem.

My 2000 gmc van misfires in rainy weather then clears up.

Check the inside of your distributer cap, moisture will cause major problems. Start your jimmy and run water over and around your distributer, after awhile turn it off remove the cap and feel the inside for moisture...it might not be sealing right.
