Where is my fuel filter on my 2004 GMC Yukon XL? The car lurches at low speeds and is unable to maintain acceptable power on hills. I am thinking my fuel filter is clogged of the fuel pump is shot. I am hoping I don't have to pull the tank to fix the problem.

Normally the fuel filter on the yukon is located under the drivers door along the inside of the frame

First check fuel pressure if youre getting 45 to 55lbs of pressure at idle and when u mash the gas the filter and the pump is fine. the service fitting to check this is on the fuel rail ( the silver metal line) above the valve cover one of the sides. good luck

P0171 and p0174 GMC YUKON XL 2004 5.3 1500

These codes let you know the engine is running to lean on gasoline . May be only a plugged fuel filter or weak fuel pump. A vacuum leak can cause this problem . The engine controller may need reprograming with new software. Dirty fuel injectors. Try adding fuel conditioner to the gas tank and changing fuel filter.

My 2004 gmc yukon xl will run after 2 times cranking

Low fuel pressure ? What engine ? 4.3 vortec ? Center port fuel injection ? . These are real picky if it does have proper fuel pressure , won't start . These are know for various problems , leaking fuel pressure regulators located under the intake manifold . That is if your yukon has this system ?

Do you have a picture of a 2002 gmc yukon fuel filter?

This particular filter is just an example of the fuel filter for an '02 GMC Yukon XL. The link I've provided is specifically for regular unleaded fuel. If your Yukon is a "Flex Fuel" (can use either unleaded or E85 gasoline) the specific filter/part number will be different. Otherwise the filter itself looks exactly the same. And if you're not certain, the filter should be located along the driver side inner frame rail...below the driver's seat.
Good luck

How do i find the fuel filter located on a 2004 gmc yukon xl?

It should be on the inside of the rail on the drivers side, near the back of the engine, front of transmission. If it is not there it may not have one.

Why does my 2001 GMC Yukon XL always cut off when stopping or starting at slow speeds such as in parking lots and at stop sings?

Check your fuel pressure it should be 60-66 psi with key and engine off.If its not within these specs then replace the fuel pump and filter.Sounds like you may have a low fuel pressure problem.

I have a 2003 yukon Problem with the GMC Yukon XL

What size engine ? 4.3 L vortex P0300 random misfire code is usually associated with vacuum leaks , but could also be low fuel pressure , plugged fuel filter , fuel pump problem , clogged injectors etc... doing fuel pressure an flow testing would confirm or eliminate that as a problem . Fuel injector balance testing would confirm or eliminate clogged injectors .
