2009 highlander won't reset. I pushed wrong sequence of buttons.

While resetting maintenance items I pushed the wrong buttons and car won't start now. Toyota flashes across the screen and cycles through again with the same screen reappearing.

Ex toyota tech here. That shouldnt have happened. I would just unhook the negative terminal of your battery give it a hard reset and see if that helps. You will need to reset all your settings after.

Odd? Call a Toyota dealership. Messing up resetting the screen after maintenance should not stop your car from starting. Something else might have coincidentally happened at the same time.

SOURCE: 2003 Toyota Highlander clock resets when I turn off the ignition

Have you checked any fuses? Does the climate control light up? If not then in the under hood fuse box (left of drivers side) check the ECU-B fuse should be 7.5 amp. Check the heater fuse in the fuse box inside the car it should be 15 amp. If the fuses are OK and only the clock is bad check out my site www.autoclockrepair.com I offer a repair service.

Can you please tell me how i can reset the oil maintenance reminder on my Highlander? I cannot find it anywhere in the owners manual!

Different years use different procedures.
The info should be in the section labeled "do it yourself" maintenance. It should also be in the index in the back of the book.
Some models require you to push the reset button and then turn the key on to clear the memory mileage.

Had my oil changed and the maintenance required light wont go out

Usually you turn the key off push the trip odometer reset button and hold it in turn the key to the on position but don't start the vehicle.Where your mileage usually is and where your trip meter reading is you will see like 5 or 6 little lines that will disappear one at a time and when they all are gone you can let go of the reset button and light should be off.

I had this happen just last week, after I took my Highlander in for an oil change, though not at a dealer's. I reset the "maintenace required" display, and it solved the problem. While holding the Trip Odometer A button, press and hold the Engine Start button. The display should say "resetting maintenance," and warning lights should go off.
