Isabella,
You need to be more specific with what type of vehicle you have... makes a big difference.
A coil has only one wire (spark plug sized wire) coming out of it, and this goes into the center of the distributer.
The distributor has a wire going to each cylinder's spark plug.
the easiest way is to do one at a time when working with plugs or wires.but if you don`t then cylinder 1 is on the end of the motor were the pulleys are then 2,3,4.this i think is a distributer system so the cap is usually marked were cylinder 1`s wire is installed.then you have to see which way the distributer rotates.then the next wire to #1 in the direction the distributer rotates will be the next wire in the firing order.the firing order is 1342.
The oil should be labeled 1-6. The spark plugs on the front of the engine ( radiator side) are from the passenger to the drivers side 1-3-5. The cylinders on the back side of th engine are from passenger to the drivers side 2-4-6. Put the worse from the cylinder to the corresponding number on the coils.
If your coils are not labeled I would need to know the eight letter of your vin number to get you the correct coil numbers.
these don`t have a distributer but a coil pack.if you change one wire at a time you will have no problem changing the wires.also i think the coil towers have the cylinder # stamped on them.
engines have a fireing order for each piston like 18436572 for an eight cylinder the distributer cap will have eight spark plug wire connections starting with number one connect plug wire to number one cylinder then moveing clockwise around the capconnect plug wire to the number eight cylinder untill all wires are connected in order to the right cylinder
normally 4 cylinder car's firing order is 1,3,4,2 Pls check your distributer cap no1 is there next 3,4,2. No 1 Cylinde is on Front side(pully mounting side) you should crank your engine & find out distributer turning side and fix it.
