It is on the gearbox side of the engine at the top. There is a black housing with a pipe coming from the radiator. That housing has 3 screws, unscrew the little adapter and you will find the thermostat.

Change the temperature gauge sending unit on the engine. It's probably causing the fan to be on.

SOURCE: Will a 1.6 Ford Bantam Rocam motor fit onto a 1.3 Ford Bantam Rocam gearbox, and is the engine mounting brackets the same

same engine, same year only difference is bore size so there is every chance that it will fit.
