My 2009 manual Kia Sorrento will not locate into reverse gear. just grinds . have tried turning the engine off and still will not locate into reverse.

This is a R-134a system and right around 1 .75 lbs should be planty for that system without going over and provide a nice icey cold vent. Let me know if you need anything else.

Change the fluid in the transmission and have the clutch checked it may be worn out.

Dont know offhand to be honest ,if it is a timing chain then its running in oil and should ever need changing although the tensioners may need changing after 250,000 miles or so but again this depends how regular the oil is changed i recomend around 5000miles with a oil filter every thrid oil change but opinions vary on this
