Check the fuse to the injector. If it is out or got wet, it could mimic these conditions. let me know what happens. I have an 85 model.

HI. i have scanned this report and, i do recommend passing on this vehicle for one good reason. The fact that it is used is a good reason for not spending your hard earned money on this Volvo. It could be a better buy if it were a newer model but, the drive in this model has shown accelerated depreciation and buying it used will not be a good idea.

asically this means that there is a problem with the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor or circuit. The PCM detects that the actual MAF sensor frequency signal is not within a predetermined range of the calculated MAF value for more than 4.0 seconds.
The simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back. Then start with the cheapest, easiest repair procedures:

An incorrectly routed harness--Inspect the harness of the MAF sensor in order to verify that it is not routed too close to the following components:
- The secondary ignition wires or coils
- Any solenoids
- Any relays
- Any motors
