SOURCE: input/turbine speed sensor circuit

Your speed sensor, is located on top of the transaxle, near the starter. To access it, remove the battery, then remove the battery tray (4 10mm bolts). You will see wires coming from the lower oxygen sensor, and they snap into the bracket that holds the speed sensor in place. The actual speed sensor has a 2 wire clip on it, and is held in place by the bracket and a 10mm bolt.

SOURCE: 2006 Ford Fusion SEL - TPS

The TPS is an easy part to replace. It has 2 screws and 1 electric connector. It is about the size of a butane lighter and attaches to the metal airhorn.

There is only a slight adjustment possible for this part. One end has an elongnated slot for the screw. Just look at where the old part was adjusted and replace it that way. The only thing you need to watch is aligning the slot on the throttle shaft with the indentation on the TPS.

While you are replacing the part, disconnect the battery on the POS cable and this will reset the "check engine" light on the dash. Then reconnect and drive your car.

SOURCE: 2006 Ford Fusion. Left front door inside handle

This link is from the handle to the latch. The door panel has to be removed in order for this problem to be fixed. The linkage is inside the door panel, it is a small diamater metal rod called a link. If you do the job yourself be careful not to break the door panel. In a shop, the labor is 1 hour for the job & if any, parts will be a seperate charge.

The input speed sensor is located on the transmission. Located externally on the drivers side. There are to sensors. They look similar but one will be the input sensor, the other is the output. The input sensor is closer to the front.

Were is speed censour located

the output speed sensor is located on the transmission. while standing in front of the vehicle and looking down at the transmission you will see two rubber hoses. under those hoses you will see the input speed sensor. if you look to the right of that sensor, and you may have to look from underneath the vehicle you will see another sensor that is identical to the input speed sensor. That is the output speed sensor. The output speed sensor is the one that shows how fast you are moving on the speedometer.

Location of speed sensor on transmission 1997 gr caravan 3.3 engine

The input speed sensor is right below where the cooler lines are clamped the the transmission. The output speed sensor looks exactly the same as the input and is located to the right ( as you standing in front of the vehicle) of the input speed sensor.

CANT FIND WHERE THE SPEED SENSOR IS NO MY 1995 OLDSMOBILE AURORA

hi , their is two different speed sensors on your vehicle one is the input speed sensor which is inside the transmission and the transmission will have to be removed to replace it the other one s the output speed sensor is located directly above the passenger side trans-axle shaft. your input sensor is the sensor which tells the transmission when to shift and the output speed sensor tells the speedometer what it should display and both those parts are fairly cheap they are around 15-25 dollars but just remember if your input speed sensor is bad it is gonna cost you a minimum of 1000 dollars to have a mechanic fix as the transmission needs to be removed hope this is what you needed

Input speed sensor

The input shaft speed sensor is located on the side of the transmission by where the engine "inputs" power to the transmission (via torque converter), thus rotating the input shaft.
The output speed sensor is located by where the axles attach to the transmission, and measures the speed that the transmission "outputs" to the axles (which make the wheels turn) and that data is also used for your speedometer reading.
