Engine cranking, do you have spark at the plugs? The pressure you see at the Schrader valve might be initial prime? You don't need rpm signal for initial prime, but, with engine cranking you need rpm signal or the pump won't work, plus you won't have spark at the plugs or fuel injector pulse. I'm just trying to see if you more than one problem?
You could turn the key just to on position, no crank, then bleed pressure off Schrader valve, then with out recycling the key, turn to crank, see if pressure comes back?
You should use a gage to check proper fuel pressure.

That system is self priming, my first thought would be crud from the bottom of the tank got stirred up due to low fuel, and some small microns of dirt got sucked into the system and took out your fuel pump. Dirt naturally gets into everybody's tank, nothing you can do about it. My first try would be to cycle your key a few times to purge the system, not to many though as yes fuel injection can and will flood, if that happens to clear it out hold your foot to the floor till it starts then back to normal. Dont over rev you engine. Another thing to check is to remove the vacuum line from the fuel pressure regulator and smell it, if it smells like gas then the pressure regulator is bad, common issue.
But this wont keep it from starting only makes for a long start and lower fuel economy. Hope this helps.

If the car has over 100,000 miles on it, you may need to replace the distributer. I don't think the bad gas caused this issue I think it may just be a coincdence. But if you already changed the plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotor, I would definetly check the distributor.

SOURCE: wont start

i have a 91, this happens to me but it says STARTER DISABLED on the display. If the 90 is the same, it is an anti theft feature. On the ignition key there is a black square thing after the teeth of the key. The system needs to recognize the black square to start the car, so if it is warn down you will have this problem. Get a spare made with that special key only some key copier places have it. But on mine if you wait 3 minutes after the message shows up, you can then start it successfully.

Good luck!

U are going to have to pull the gas tank out and replace the fuel pump inside the tank, this is common when you run the gas completely out, the pump is cooled by the gas it runs in, if u run it low allot it burns out the pump bearings very quickly.

Mercedes Benz 2002 - C240 - wont start.

Most parts stores will have a fuel pressure tester available. This is the best place to start, as presence of fuel at schrader valve does not tell you if pressure is correct. Hate to say it, but without proper test equipment you will have bad luck trying to troubleshoot newer cars. For spark, use a timing light, or a cheap inductive spark checker pen. I got my last one for less than $5.

I have a 1991 Mazda 626 that wont start

Look at the top of the engine and locate the fuel rail on the injectors. There should be a Schrader valve on the rail. Take a small screwdriver or a nail and push in on the Schrader valve. Have the helper turn the key on and look for fuel pressure at the valve. If there was no Schrader on the rail, just loosen the fuel line for the same results. If there is no fuel expelled, check the fuel pump fuse and relay located in the relay box. If these are not faulty, the fuel pump has failed and is need of replacement.

Car ran out of gas and has been hard to crank every since. I don't hear the fuel pump prime but I do hear the relay click. There is no gas expelled or pressure coming from schrader valve and also batt

the fuel pump is burnt out. the pump uses the fuel to cool itself. running low fuel the pump heats up and burns the plastic gears inside. thats why the fuse blew. need to take out gas tank to change pump.

95 GT mustang wont start

You ran the car out gas and there's air in the system.. Not the Throttle Body.. Expel the air from the system.. 1. Raise/Support your hood.. 2. Turn your key to the ign position, (listen for the fuel pump to come on).. 3. Go to the fuel rail(s) and press the Schrader Valve, (looks like a tire air valve), until only fuel comes out.. (use safety gear, especially for eyes) 4. Rinse/Collect excess fuel before cranking (careful around electrical connections)

to check fuel pressure you have to use a gauge not just push on the schrader valve to see if gas squirts out.these systems run at 35lbs pressure anything much less and it will not start.also check the fuel volume as if its low the pump cannot supply enough to fuel the motor to run it won`t.

Was running fine and acted like it ran out of gas. will not start has gas and fuel pump is priming.

it di it did run out of gas your fuel filter is likely pluged full of **** and it aint going to the motor
to find out if im right find your fuel rail and try bleedijng it there is usualy a schrader valve for the teck to hook to for a clean out if the fuel doesnt come out when you push the inner pin down on the schrader valve then you have your problem

it also might be a good idea the make sure your fuel pump is working
ie: can you hear the pump in the tank?

Fuel filter

At the rear of the car near the gas tank, you'll find the fuel filter. Simply unscrew it and screw on the new filter. Relieve the fuel pressure before removing the old filter. To do this, remove the gas cap and at the engine you'll find the schrader valve on the fuel rail, press it. The schrader valve is found on the fuel rail.
