Crank no start.

2002 century 3.1 crank no start, every time I check something like MAF, the car will start and run for about a week, check fuel, check spark same results will run for a week and then one day not start. Now it seems the injectors are not working, and going to replace the cam sensor. All this and no codes set only ABS light on.

SOURCE: buick lesabre nightmare

Need to get a scan tool and look at the data stream while it is running for alot more info. Also any trouble codes.Sounds like initially, the engine isn't getting any fuel.I would have a pressure gauge connected to the fuel rail on the engine,so i could monitor the fuel pressure while all this is going on.Items to look at on the data stream would be timing, what timing is the PCM commanding for the engine. Also, have you checked for continuos power feed to the coils during this no start condition, and fire at the plugs while cranking. You could possibly still have spark, but maybe it is extremely weak?I have seen bad ignition switches cause weird problems before too. Many things power up through the ignition switch, just a thought.Have also seen bad PCM's cause strange problems..38 volts is a little on the low side for GM.Usually see those at,at least .50 and up,and rise steadily while pressing the throttle,up to just under 5.0 volts.Potentiometer with 5 volt supply.Vacuum leak can be checked with engine running at a steady idle speed, spray brake cleaner all around the intake manifold and listen for engine speed change.

SOURCE: car cranks, but hesitates to start after sitting for over 24hrs

Tune ups are always a good place to start , including air, fuel, plugs and for the extra 5 bucks a PCV valve. If these havn't been done in the last year at least might want to start there. If that doesnt make any difference please post again and we will look at something else!

It seems like a ground problem. First check all fuses to see that they have a good contact. Second, verify the battery terminals for good contact. Third verify the charging condition in the alternator battery system., remember shoul be around 14volts with car running.

03 Chevy Silverado 4.3 crank No start. 0 fuel pressure. Details below

If the pump is starting, and you can hear it, then something in the tank is either intermitently blocking the inlet to the pump or something is blocking the line to the engine. It is also possible the pump pickup is not within the the fuel. However, it is not unusual for older vehicles to have corrosion in the metal fuel line caused by water or other contaminent in the fuel that breaks off and intermitently plugs the line or the filter.

Changed front turn signal on '03 Buick Century with car running. Car died and will not start. All lights on dash operate, headlights and radio operate. Cannot find a fuse that is blown.

Did you short something out ? Do you have a SECURITY light lit on the insturment cluster ? anti-theft system problem . Will not start how ? does the engine do anything when you turn the key to the start position ? A - crank no start or no crank - no start ? If the engine cranks an doesn't start , is there spark at plug wires ? Is there fuel ? An anti - theft problem will let the vehicle engine crank but not start an run , disables fuel injectors .

I have a 2002 Buick century and it turns over but it wont crank but you can hear it bout to crank. could it be my timing?

Broken timing belt would be where I would start.
To check the belt, open the oil fill, using a flashlight look into it while someone is cranking the engine, if nothing is moving in there while the motor is turning over, the belt is snapped.

98 Pontiac Bonneville intermitanly stalls & won't restart

It could be many things.
When the engine crank but won't start
Retrieve PCM faulty code if any.
Engine need 3 things (Fuel, Air, Fire (spark)
1- Fuel = fuel pump working during the problem you can hear a sound at the fuel tank cap (remove)
All Fuel Injectors working.(Power and the spray).
2- Air = MAF defect (Mass Air Flow) no code will be set
When the engine is running with a screwdriver lightly hit the MAF the engine will stall if it's the problem.
air filter restrictions
3- Fire= Is there spark at all spark plugs wire?

Find out the ground of power windows it could be the same as fuel pump or ignition system (Ground corrosion, high resistor)
and many more.
See good technicians to fix your car..

Hope it helps

1994 Buick Century Not Turning Over

Can position sensor, maybe, or it might be called a pick-up coil. This sensor is needed along with crank position sensor for computer to determine spark timing.
When you get it started, and if you still have the up and down idle, check for an intake manifold leak.

I have replaced fuel pump, fuel filter and crank sensor and I know that it has something to do with fuel cause I crank the engine over and spray carb cleaner through the air intake while cranking the...

Common issue with is car is malfunctioning of the "anti-theft/security system". If your security system is ok>>>>> Check fuel pressure, if poor....check power to fuel pump, fuel pump relay, fuel pressure regulator, if ok...Check MAP/MAF sensor.

2002 blazer crank but wont start

2 things that you have to check on no starts every time. Spark at spark plug and fuel. Turn key to run position and listen at gas tank for fuel pump to run you should hear a whining noise. This will only happen for 3 to 4 seconds then it will shut off until engine starts. You can turn key off then to run every 3 to 4 to listen for fuel pump. You may hear the relay click off in engine area even if pump does not run. Fuel pump failure is pretty common. If pump is running pull spark plug out or put a spare plug into spark plug wire and have someone crank engine set plug on engine and watch for spark. This will give you a starting point. Hope it helps.
