Here's a link on your P0301 code. P0301 OBD II Trouble Code Here's the link for the P0401 code. P0401 Saturn Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Insufficient your egr passage may be blocked.

Testimonial: "The P0410 error code, ended up being a vacuum line was either removed on "accident" or bumped off. Not sure if possible, but the P0301 didn't come back after fixing the vacuum leak. However, prior to the P0410, as commented above, we did replace the spark plugs. Not sure if that is how the vacuum line next to the firewall of the car, got disconnected or not. But all is good now. Sorry it was fixed before the responses came in. But you have what fixed this particular car's issue now."

Saturn S series runs rough

It is very common on ALL SATURN S series vehicle for ignition module failure. Usually the symptons are running rough and possibly a check engine light with misfire codes-P0300,P0301,P0302,P0303,P0304.
Some people have attampted replacing plugs and wires, even coils and continually have the problem reoccuring. What happens is the ignition module bolts(x4) stretch out through time and corrosion builds up underneath the module causing incorrect spark displacement. In turn this damages the plug wires and even at times the plugs. What needs to be done is replacing plug wires, plugs if needed, the ignition module bolts(saturn dealer item only)and the ignition module-NOT JUST THE COILS.
This should fix your problem.

Saturn sl2 2002 code P0301

Have you checked your spark plugs yet? This is a Cylinder 1 misfire. Most likely just plugs and wires but these also had an issue with the intake gasket leaking air and causing a misfire code. Spray carb cleaner or brake cleaner along the intake manifold where it touches the cylinder head and see if the engine almost dies while running, if so then you know yo have a leaking intake gasket.

Saturn stalling out

sounds like bad spark plug wires. i would recommend changing the plugs and wires - you can usually get the plugs and wires for about 40-60 bucks depending on what quality you get. the problem is that the heat expands the casing on the plug wires and can cause intermittent shorts so that could explain why there is no exact time between occurrences.
