Which fuse under the hood of a 1989 Toyota Camry, controls the fuel pump

OK...for years the relay for the fuel pump on a Toyota is called the "Circuit Opening Relay" This relay is controlled by another relay...the EFI Relay. Both of these relays are fused. A 10amp Ignition fuse. A 10amp EFI fuse #3. A 10amp EFI #2 Fuse. Where are these fuses and relays? Start by checking under the Hood.

Efi relay what does it turn on when key not on. i have to pull relay so it wont drain my battery i also got some codes p1126 and p0308 just recently

With the key off the Main EFI relay shouldn't be powering anything up . The EFI relay is energized by the ignition switch , if it is the EFI relay you here clicking ,you could have an ignition switch problem . It can't have anything to do with the fuel pump , because it has it's own relay down stream from the EFI relay . This is just an educated guess , from my thirty + years experience. The only way to tell for sure is test . I suggest you go to you tube an check out some videos on basic electrical trouble shooting . An how to do a parasitic draw testing an go from there .Also go to www.bbbind.com/ for free wiring diagrams to look at what all is involved in that circuit . Get a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter.

P01126 has to do with electronic throttle control . OBDII Code P1126 TOYOTA Magnetic Clutch Circuit Malfunction HelpForCars net I strongly suggest you take this to a ASE certified repair shop or the Toyota dealer

15amp efi fuse blows

It is not related to car being cool down , I think you are having ignition switch on . The EFI fuse goes directly to the contact switchin the EFI relay. Maybe try removing the EFI relay, turn the ignition to ON, and see if the fuse blows.
Doing this, the car won't start, but it might give you a clue as to where the short circuit is located. ... Check the fuse/relay box next to the driver side fender in the engine compartment.

Why does my efi fuse keeps popping 1999 chevy prizm

Pull the EFI relay, replace the fuse, and see if it blows when you turn the key on. If it does not turn the key off, reinstall the EFI relay and remove the circuit opening relay/fuel pump relay. Turn the key on. If the fuse blows than we know the problem is One of the O2 sensors, the IAC, the purge solenoid, or the ECM You can unplug the O2 sensors, iac, and purge solenoid. Replace the fuse, turn the key on, and plug them in one at a time until the fuse blows. Replace that component. If the fuse blows with those unplugged than its probaly the wiring and possibly the ECM. let me know what you find and I'll help you more if needed.

The fuel pump relay is the EFI relay in trhe fuse box under the hood right fender. I replaced it and the pump is working I can smell the gas. The truck still will not start. any sugestions?

Have you checked to see if it has spark at the spark plugs, let me know. Actually there are two relays for the fuel pump, the EFI relay and the circuit opening relay, the circuit opening relay gets voltage from the EFI relay. If the computer doesn't get a spark confirmation signal while cranking then the injectors are shut off.

My fuel pump continues to run after the car is turned off. i was told it was a efi relay, i bought one but dont know where it goes or how to install it.

It is not the EFI relay, it is the fuel pump relay, it is under the hood and it is in a green socket next to the EFI relay which is a brown socket

Where is the fuel pump relay located?

The Fuel pump relay is part of the EFI main relay and can not be replaced separately. The EFI main relay is located behind the dash, left of the steering wheel.
