SOURCE: mitsubishi eclipse convertiable timing belt change?

Typical timing belt intervals are every 60k miles. It's a very involved service to do the whole job - timing belt, timing belt tensioner, serpentine or accessory belts, water pump, thermostat, spark plugs, all fluids, all filters, brake and suspension inspection, and tire rotation. On many cars it's recommended to change the oxygen sensors as well. Quite a bit of this can be done when you want, but the first five items are critical and should all be done. And regardless of whether your manufacturer says the coolant is "lifetime", replace it - don't reuse coolant. It's cheap and it's good practice to use new coolant.

The codes are for the Mass Air Flow Sensor. It is located between the throttle body and the air filter case. You will see it has a plug in the side. Unplug and remove it by taking the hose clamps off each end. Once you have it out, clean it out with a good throttle body/intake cleaner. Allow it to dry and reinstall. If the light continues to come on, you will need to replace it. Cleaning has worked for some.

Code P0170 and P0173

The shop failed to do basic preventative maintenance
such as scan the systems, look at data & possibly road test
The vehicle is a 2000 year you ask about oxygen sensors
& when they were replaced & look at mileage They get changed
at 100,000 miles
You got idle issues
What happened there? They let that go also
Google any codes you get
OBD PO171 etc
I would find a different shop
Tune-Up is no more than spark plugs & that
is preventative maintenance
You don't do a tune-up for a problem
You do spark plugs every 3 years & then you know
when they were done last & proceed to diagnose the
drivabelity issues
These shops will do & sell what ever you ask & then some
to stay in business
They fail to really check your vehicle over completely
you can't install spark plugs & throw on wires you don't need
& expect that to do a thing as far as knowing how the vehicle
is operating.there electronically controlled & need those systems also

Fuel trim malfunction bank 1 and 2?

The up and down idle kind of sounds like a vacuum leak. Did you have to remove the plenum to replace the rear plugs? Have you checked for a vacuum leak? What kind of plugs did you put in it?

Does the 2001 eclipse syper come with a keyless entry key

It depends on what version you have. My 2001 Spyder GT came with 2. Unfortunatly they tie in with the radio and anti theft system and when the battery dies in the little stick remote (doesnt take long for this to happen) you have to get the codes off the radio, call mitsubishi, and get the exact right codes to make them work again
