SOURCE: THEROMSTAT/ 2002 DODGE DURANGO???

make sure engine is cool then drain coolant by opening the drain plug at bottom of radiator. remove cap from radiator so coolant will continue to drain and when coolant is down enough to pull off upper radiator hose at intake then close drain, then remove two bolts at coolant housing and remove thermostate. clean gasket material from intake and housing and replace with new gasket and thermostate tighten bolts install hose fill rad with coolant water mix 50/50 and run engine with heat on floor until gets hot and you see coolant flowing in rad, install cap

It is your computer. I had this recently as well. No Bus means no connection to the on board computer. There is a company in Florida that repairs these computers, so don't get suckered in by the dealership for 750-1000.

SOURCE: HOW TO INSTALL AMP INTO A FACTORY RADIO IN DODGE DURANGO 2002

You can buy adaptor plugs that allow a simple hook up at most car stereo places.  However, when you increase the power going to the speakers you also have to replace the speakers to handle the higher power or you'll toast them.

SOURCE: 2002 Dodge Durango 4.7L V8 Check Engine Codes

1st try and search for a vaccum leak, due to the fact that these vehicles have had some bad problems with the length of wires and hoses, if there is a vaccum leak in the vehicle somewhere that will trigger other malfunctions in your vehicle. Using a can of starting fluid or Brake cleaner spray lightly spray around our engine til you hear the motor rev-up and the spot you have sprayed will determine where your vaccum leak will be. And then check under your distributor cap for any moisture be sure to take a rag and wipe and residue off. Also check the firing order on your distributor.

SOURCE: 2002 dodge durango whinning noise will your

Thank you for getting back to me. I would like you to check your transmission fluid. start the engine and let it warm up at idle speed for about 15 min and check the fluid. It sounds like you do not have enough in it, there for the whining noise with increase of speed since your transmission is speeding up with the rate of your vehicle. If this does not help and the problem persist please let me know. If the noise you were hearing was coming from the u joints of the vehicle it would not make a whining noise with increase of speed. The u joints will only make a noise when they are going bad when the vehicle is shifted into any gear from the shifter( EX: park to drive, park to reverse ECT.)

Multiple codes on 2002 dodge durango

This many codes sounds like a wiring issue. You need to inspect all the wiring. If you have rabbits in your area, they eat wires. If not then it is likely to be a corroded or loose ground. You need to get a wiring diagram etc.

2002 dodge dakota slt 4x4 4.7 ltr key on eng off all lights come on on the ipc then go off after 15 sec start to come on one by one then odo blinks 4x goes to no bus. Vehicle starts and runs fine no ecm...

with no bus, that is power to or from the pcm. try wiggling the 3 plugs at the pcm with the key on. if you see lights change, or hear the bing, that would most likely be the pcm.

Usually the problem is the wiring harness or the body computer.
You may need a shop manual to get the wiring diagrams to troubleshoot it with.

2002 Durango won't start change fuel pump, cramnkshaft sensor,

"No Bus" means something happened between the body computer and the engine computer. They are not connected to each other.
Usually a fuse, one of the computers, or the wiring harness in between.

My 99 dodge durango has a 'no bu5' code on the mileage abd it wont start at all. how do i fix this?

No bus message on the instrument cluster mean's there is a serial data bus problem . All the module's (computers) on your vehicle are connected on the CCD data network . They share information on the network . A shorted bus wire , a module malfunctioning an bring down the network can cause modules not to send and receive data which would cause a no start .

Code shows "NO BUS". And

Most often this error message and the stalling is caused by a faulty crank sensor on the Durango. It creates a short in the 5 wire harness. I would suggest replacing this before you go any further. It is mounted on the right side of the engine block, above the starter on the 4.7 litre engine.
Good luck, i hope this helps.

What does that code mean for the 2002 dodge durango "no bus"

The various computer and electronic modules on your vehicle communicate over a "communication bus". This network or bus, is what allows them to send electronic messages back and forth so that they can "talk" to each other. When you get the "no bus" indication is means that this communication network has failed and the modules can no longer "talk" to other. At the same time this occurs all kinds of weird electrical issues are likely occur and this is all due to the bus going down.
