SOURCE: need to replace alternator on 1998 chevrolet monte carlo

Nope, it has two bolts one towards the front and one at the back underneath. Be careful of the one in the back as the nut is tricky to get on. You don't need to remove the bracket.

Turn signal switch. With you foot on the brake have someone stand behind the car. Wiggle the turn signal lever and see if the the brake lights flicker.

What do i have to take apart to get to my heater core?

Its behind the dash Usually a fairly big job Follow the 2 hoses in the engine compartment that go into the firewall Thatll at least tell you where it is located on the other side Btw...if its just clogged..have you tried disconnevting those 2 hoses and running some CLR into it, letting it sit and then flushing it Just an idea It works well

How to replace a thermostat on a1998 Chevrolet Monte Carlo 3.1 v6

you may be able to take off the water housing by taking the front bolt out and loosening the rear, but its TOUGH to get too. A repair shop can do it for you. I replace them if I have the intake manifold off for any reason. check if intake gaskets are leaking,(common), then you need them replaced and the thermostat is easy to replace at that time.

My 1998 Monte Carlo's battery is dead. Where is

Hi!!

The battery is in a compartment in the fender well, but you should have a positive and negative jump start terminals.

Follow the fat (usually RED) cable coming from the Alternator or the one coming from the Starter, they go straight to the battery (+). The ground (-) you can get it from the chassis or the block.

Dont forget to rate this post. Good Luck!!!
