Does the motor crank (starter engaged and turning the motor)? If it does not crank, do you hear the solenoid clicking (engaging the starter gear into the flywheel teeth)?

The information below was complied by me, it explains what causes the check engine light to come on and the process of finding the cause. When the Check Engine light (or Service Engine Soon) is turned on, the systems computer control unit (called the PCM) has sensed a fault in the electronic controls of the engine and/or the emission system. When this happens you will seldom feel the car engine run any different. There are about 200 possible system faults (the gas cap is just one of them) that turn the Check Engine light on, to know what has developed a problem you must have the system tested, this is called an OBD2 fault code test, Kragen/Oriley and Autozone parts stores (USA only) do this testing for free.

I would check the catlic converter to see if its not blocked, best thing to do is to go to a exhaust shop and they can do vacume test or tempreature test.

i dont really have a solution but i have a 2002 Hyundai accent gs that wont start when it gets cold if its below 50 degrees out the car will crank but not start we have replaced everything the alternator,starter,battery,both coil pack,transmission,crank censor,oxygen censor,fuel pump relay, computer, and 100 amp alternator relay none of these things has fixed the car does any one know what else it could be
