Easter egg hunt 1,000,000, why?
if you scan the PCM and there are no ckp or cmp errors
why ask this, the PCM will report even 1 pulse in 10 dropped out
the FSM stated that in clear english, (factor serv. man)
scan it first, or you will go broke , I PROMISE.

double posted, why>?
well, its a H25 engines (or h27 too)
if you look at the engine,
this V6 , hood up, the left rear cam runs the cam sensor.
left as in left car door side,
i did not say drivers side, as the car is sold in UK and that be different side.
the left cam is that cam , on the left while the driver is seated in his drivers seat.
In the USA that is left side of car.

here are most the parts on this engine
see this free PDF

http://www.fixkick.com/engine/2.5L%202004%20Tracker/25L-2004-engine.pdf

the cam sensor looks like this on a scope

year 2000 usa, only, if not usa, nows the time to say, ok?

the below drawing is of the CKP, the cranks sensor
all this and more are in the real service manual.
or at mitchells, online, and all others too. chiltons,/alldata. etc.

locations of the cam and crank shaft sensors on a - 26367721-jslqxrb5uyqct1heovenllpq-4-0.jpgwhy not post symptoms and ask for help
be 10x better than hunts....

not only that, we have answered this same question many times , search much?>

How do you get engine fire to the coil packs on a 2.0 engine

in all cases
check fuses, and scan it.
and do the test correctly , 2 coil packs are not test like 4 packs. not at all.
The J20 engines
so what country?
ours use 4 coil packs in USA.
outside USA some use 2 PACKS (wasted spark packs)
we cant guess what's under your hood nor, what EFI system is there. ever.
so ill answer for the USA setup 4x cop coils
C.O.P, coil over plug, x4
check fuses first (ig-coil and FI fuse)
check that Check engine lamp glows key on, if not power (elect) lost to PCM/ECU. (fuses blown)
ours is OBD2 compliant so all scan tools made here work.
next, is scan it, while cranking and in every case it tells you why.
the CKP sensor (crank) is behind the flywheel, (yes, transmission pulled.
the CMP sensor (cam) is on the left rear of cam. DOHC J20 engine
do not fiddle CMP, or lose spark timing. (compounding issues)
if you are compelled to fiddle about, match mark it first with a center punch tool or scribe. some later j20 cars the timing freeze jumper is in the factory scan tool only and no on left strut DCL conn. (mark it first)

that is it.. just sold all my suz. they are DOA here."bugged-out"

now my quesitons.
all 4 spark plugs dead.?
or just 2 (2 pack engine)
if just 2, then is it wasted spark 2 coil pack system
then yes, ? then use 2 spark plugs at one time, to test.
not 1 ever.
ask. or tell , or show a photo of your engine, if you want exact answers,
hints, (yes i travel outside usa and see all this...)
wasted spark has actual, old school spark HV wires on top of engine
some J20 have just 2 wires. and other half are direct fire.de791219-83fd-4c6f-8010-585464c0182d.jpg

Where is the cam shaft sensor located on a 1999 Suzuki Esteem 1.8 Suzuki

double posted. by OP
the 1.8L , is on the left rear of cam, it a twin cam engine, DOHC.
face the engines, front pulley, point to right rear of cam shaft. bingo. CMP

on the 1999, In usa, any scan tool will till you its bad. for sure.
P03xx codes. 340 are cmp failure.
can be seen driving, or parked, engine running, or even CRANKING.
if the scan tool shows no, errors with it, it's not bad.
the PCM will show even 1 missing pulse in 10. (drop outs)
fact. (covered in the FSM book)

here is the parts page.
page 21 shows the mount.

My 1999 suzuki grand vitara shut off on the run ,what is the problem

which engine, G16, J29, H25?
why guess.? the scan tool tells you if either fails an 15 buck tool.
is it dead now, or only STaLLS. moving and only hot? or stalls
at all times, hot engine or cold engine.
if it does stall , how long to wake up? if at all.? is it dead now?
there are over 50 reasons, nobody can tell you here in our blind cloud; what we could do is teach you. stalls 101 tests.??
willing to buy tools< (key question 2, or work blind)?????
got spark?
i have the 2004, and full real paper FSm on this car, book and the full online pages.
ill now take the wild silly guess, J20 DOHC, 2.0L inline 4.
is the cam spinning? (spark good x4)
remove oil cap, top front engine, person 2 cranks you look.
it must spin, on usa cars (are you) HAS C.O.P . COILS X 4.
On outside usa cars it has 1 coil pack , so no country no joy here.>

here is a page, that shows just how many ways there is to stall
its for G16but the rules for EFI and gas engines are the same
all stalls.
http://www.fixkick.com/dies.html
see the scotty link there.

dead car stalls. only.!!!

Where is the location of the heated oxygen sensor RELAY for a 2002 Suzuki grand vitara

FAIL, no engine stated, we cant open the hood and look, you must.
and no country stated, some countries use different smog parts.

why ask this out of context, you have symptoms,
you have DTC errors.?
what makes you think there is one, (books, guessing, net rumors)
?
https://suzukipitstopplus.com/Products/1066-2006-forenza-reno-service-manual.aspx

4 bucks
that is the official factory service manual, FSM

i have a 2004 and had 3 engines , options
G16B SOHC I4
J20 DOHC I4
H25 V6
all work totally different, (EFI + smog devices_

log in ,look up our engine, see schematic
see all parts related to 02. every detail.

the 2002 has a very large number of 02 , OBD2 DTC errors possible
each has MEANINGS. and tests to find TRUE cause.l
