Your transmission fluid contain water, thats why the colour of the fluid changed to pink. And of such the clutch is slipping causing the engine to reve up before shifting - Check transmission cooler.

SOURCE: Transmission Speed Sensor Inconsistency

Check the 10 wire connector going into the transmission for water or corrosion. This could cause inadvertant shifting but would also probably set the check engine light. The throttle position sensor could also cause this. Speed sensors screw into the transmission from the outside and would cause a limp in condition where it wouldn't shift out of second gear.

SOURCE: anti lock and trac off

the abs wiring is in wheel bearing . you could have a bad bearing . a shop with a scanner could tell you witch one is bad or has wiring problems. aleros wiring run down lower control arm to wheel bearing. on control arm the wires get cut inside plastic loom and you cant see it till you pull them out and look .once you fix problem the lights will go out on there own.

Have the codes read. Transmission problems will cause all this in most newer vehicles. Year make and model really helps.

While driving my 97 ford expedition, it makes a low rumbling sound, similar to the sound of driving on a shoulder. When I let off the gas or give it more gas, it usually stops for a few seconds, then it...

sounds like you have a wheel bearing that's bad, some vehicles have the wheel sensor mounted right to the wheel bearing.
best way to check is drive down a straight road at a steady speed, then turn the wheel left, like your going to change lanes, then do the same but this time turn the wheel to the right.
Now if the noise is louder when you turn left, then that tells you the right wheel bearing is bad, if you turn right and the noise is greater, then your left wheel bearing is bad.
the reason for this, is when you shift the vehicle left or right, the weight of the body shifts the opposite way that you are turning, thus putting more weight on the bearing, causing it to get louder.
Hope this helps.

Troubleshooting trac off light

check your abs fuse and your wheel speed sensors with a scanner, prob a bad front wheel speed sensor, which is in bearing hub assembly, these are notorious for going bad...If it is the problem I would replace it with a WBI hub assembly manufactured in Gaylord Michigan !

Why abs and advance trac warning light stay lited on 2004 ford expedition ?

Because you have an ABS System Malfunction

A repair shop will check for codes, diagnose &
repair it for you

Doesn't matter what check lights you get on your dash

You should be familiar with them all & the routine,
they have been there for 30 years now

Possibly a bad Wheel Speed Sensor

The advance trac light is on and tried to reset it, but won't go off. The ABS light is on also.

You have an ABS System Failure ,issue

Could be a Bad Wheel Speed Sensor.

Have code retrieved, system diagnosed and repaired

Hi, my 1995 Galant wont shift to overdrive. I

Boy O Boy, Don't throw that old trans away, It is most likely OK. Did you change the filter and fluid. A bad speed sensor or a bad torque converter lock-up solenoid will result in a loss of overdrive function. Perform an OBDII scan of the stored faults And look for Speed sensor and lock-up solenoid faults. Watch out for those shops, they will skin you.

TURN RT APPLY BRAKES ABS/TRAC OFF COMES ON

bad front bearing/abs sensor The sensor is part of the bearing,or the wires are bad so that when you steer it open circuts and thinks the wheel is stopped. need to read codes or use a scan tool with live data to see which wheel the computer thinks is stopping. then look at that wheel for problems

Antilock brake /trac off light stays on...140000 miles

In those cars, the wheel speed sensor is integrated into the wheel bearings. When one of the sensors goes bad, you have to replace the entire wheel bearing. Also, when the sensor(s) go bad, it will cause the loss of anti-lock braking and disable the traction control system.

The only way to identify which wheel bearing it is, is to hook the car up to a scan tool capable of reading ABS codes. That said, the front ones are more notorious for going out than the rear ones.
