Cut the cables close the rear brakes. OR replace both of them.

How to replace a brake light switch on a 1998 GMC Sierra 1500.

Hello my name is Israel and I will be glad to help you. Above the brake pedal there will be a small white in color switch with two wires coming out of it. This is the brake switch. You will need to pull the pigtail from the brake switch and then "unscrew" the switch and replace with new one. Connect the pigtail. Adjust the switch so that the brake lights activate with a touch of the brake pedal. Good Luck.

2001 gmc sierra 1500. The front brakes drag. I have replaced pads, calipers and hoses. Resevoir is full and gasket on cap is new. Can the brakes be adjusted?

No, there is no adjustment aside from being certain calipers are not binding. Be sure the M/C is fully releasing.

Parking Brake on, Under dash release cable broken

Can you get to any part of the cable? If so, use a pair of pliers to release it until you can replace the cable.
