If your Honda Passport is not moving in any gear after replacing all the solenoids in the transmission, it could be due to a few different reasons. Here are some possible causes:
Low transmission fluid level: Make sure the transmission fluid level is correct and the fluid is not contaminated or burned.
Faulty torque converter: A faulty torque converter could prevent the transmission from engaging, which would cause the vehicle not to move in any gear.
Broken transmission pump: The transmission pump is responsible for creating hydraulic pressure to engage the gears. If the pump is broken or not working correctly, the transmission will not engage.
Failed clutch packs: Clutch packs are used to engage different gears in the transmission. If one or more clutch packs have failed, the transmission will not engage.
It is recommended to have the vehicle diagnosed by a professional mechanic to determine the root cause of the issue.
Make sure the transmission range selector switch is adjusted correctly it is the switch just below the shift cable post. Also try to start it in Neutral rather than park position.
Only recently has my 97 Honda Passport been acting like the transmission slips...I'll be in Drive and the revs jump from 2 to 5 or 6; I'll drop it to 3, and it settles down. Last week, I was in Drive, then went to 3...then back to Drive and it jumped...and the Check Trans light came on.
2000 Honda Passport v6 auto transmission..at time transmission did not down shift when stoping and it would stay on low grear. when going after stop it would be on low grear but pick up speed to go 45 mi. pmh but would not down shift when stoped. until maybe 3 miles and it would down shift at stop or when driving at slow speed?
I had a 2001 Chevy Blazer that would doing the same thing when the check engine light would be on. If you give it very little gas until it shifts into second, it does not shif as hard, right? Then you can accelerate as quickly as you want, but if you hammer it from a stop it jolts really hard.
Our local shop told us it was the valve body. They wanted $900 to fix it!!! They told us "Baby it all you what, but its only a matter of time. If you don't get it fixed soon, it will cause total transmission failure". We traded it in.
