hi, you have to remove the trim from the inside, the triangular shaped bit ( normally just pulls off ) under that you will find 3 bolts ( star hex ) unplug the electric adjuster cable, then remove bolts and pull away from door, just reverse to fit, hope that helps

on the inside of the door there should be a plastic cover the same shape as the unit that you can pry off (very slowly) and it may have some clips that you can pry off. when you remove the cover the three posts should be exposed and just remove the nuts and the rest is easy.................as far as your kid goes...........your on your own...........

Yes - there should be a cosmetic cover on the inside where the mirror connects.. Pop the cosmetic cover off and you will see how to detatch it from the car.

I checked Ford Focus mirror replacement and it seems to be the same. This is for the manual, unheated mirror.

Remove the mirror cover inside the door - slide a screwdriver behind the cover and pry loose carefully.

Remove the single 10mm bolt and the mirror comes free.
NB. Do not drop the bolt into the door.
