2001 crown victoria lost oil pressure and just cut off now when i start the car after five mins the car start ticking really loud

i have a 2001 crown victoria was driving down hwy car made loud noise and shut off had it towed home got it started and has NO power almost couldnt get i in drive way, had been making a slite noise before that and bucking
for about 4 months in the last 3 weeks noise was getting louder. Was told could be timing chain how likely is this and how do i check it.

sounds like a crank shaft position sensor problem . your vehicle also has noted problems with the coolant temp sensor and harness have this looked at also

1993 Buick Roadmaster with 66,000.00 original miles. Something going on with maybe the charging system. When driving the car want's to cut out but giving it gas keeps it going. The RPM goes up and down...

sounds like the crankshaft position sensor may be failing, this is not a charging system problem, if it where it would run fine until the battery was run dead and then u would have nothing, no crank no lights nothing, I had this same problem in my 91 Buick Rivera, it has the same engine and electronics. did almost exactly what yours is doing, crankshaft sensor fixed it, and $200 of course.

1985 dodge ram 150 6 clynder

First thing, check your rotor button. Sometimes the tip breaks on them, going to the side and won't allow it to start. If that's ok, check your timing chain. Good luck.
