Where is the BCM located on a 2000 lincoln navagator?

Ford , Lincoln , Mercury in that era called a GEM generic electronic module .
The generic electronic module (GEM) constantly monitors its subsystems for concerns. If a concern is found in one of the subsystems, the GEM will record the concern in the form of a diagnostic trouble code (DTC).
The ignition switch position is very important to the GEM function. Often times, erratic or unexpected GEM function can be traced to problems with these GEM inputs.
The GEM controls the following features:

  • Warning chimes.
  • Battery saver.
  • Illuminated entry and courtesy lamps.
  • Driver power window.
  • Accessory delay.

    Cant find generic electronic module

You probably have a door ajar switch that is bad. You can check the grounds coming from the switch that goes to the gem module and it should change from open to ground when you open and close the door. If you really think the gem module is bad or want to check it with your scematic. The gem module should be piggy backed behind the fuse panel inside your pick if you remove the fuse panel inside your truck you should be able to access the module but you have to remove the fuse panel completely from the truck to remove the gem module. Good luck with your problem.
