I need to change my 5 didget combination on my town car but I don't have the owners manual and the dealership dosnt help

The ecm,the last didget can't be under no more than 2 didgets or over 2 didgets if so the ecm is program for different sensors

I am not going to totally discount the dealership as a source but I am willing to believe that you have already tried that one. Take a look on http://www.factoryautomanuals.com/ , it looks like they have an owners manual available for your vehicle for about $15 plus shipping. Let me know if this helps you out or not.

No I wouldn't say so. There is not much difference and your car would be running hard when started.

It could be the sensor and if that's the case then you really have nothing to worry about, and the sensor isn't worth the money in fixing.

some of the lincolns have the code under the dash on the drivers side. Take a look there. when I forgot mine on my 98 Mark VIII the dealership gave me a phone number to call that would be able to get it for me. I do not remember what it was so you may want to call the service dept. at your lincoln dealership if it is not under the dash. I did not have to call them though because I found a card in my owners manual that had it on there.

It is my understanding, from the dealership, if the code wasnt registered then you wont be able to use the keypad unless you install another one.

Dealerships were issued a tool to reset that combination. Ask around your local dealerships, someone is bound to have one still.

ask the dealership (parts department) for a drawing of the headlamp assemble. it might show all the mounting screws, good luck
