If you have just replaced the clutch the the plate is in back to front and the hub is hitting the flywheel bolts.
if you haven't then other problems can be bad clutch cable not fully disengaging clutch, air in a hydraulic system or oil / grease on the clutch plate ( normally indicated by a shuddering or slipping clutch

Manual transmission wont go reverse

you get zero points for no year, and no model.... LOL.
and 10 for knowing its a STICK ,first post ever , for stick. good.

reverse gear is the canary gear (coal miner, lingo)
it has no synrcho. so is the first to get angry. funky , or act-up.
my guess is all other gears work perfect? car drives?
power you meant engine running or not.?
sure. (generic no model or year, answer)

this is a bad clutch system( not a particular part) and many cars have a hydraulic acutated
clutch. ever check the fluid level there , at the clutch MC (master cyl)
oops it's gone, right?
the clutch must dis-engage 100% and not drag or REVERS will fail.
the MC /slave system. the slave like to go bad, then leaks then
level drops and reverse begins to drag /fail, and later all gears dead.
all cars with setup, do that , vast numbers of cars. all qualty stick cars,
cheaper cars have cables. and service adjustments. ,
you clutch is service free, except the 2 year flush and fill. Dot 3/4/

Clutch pedal is tight, stick shifter is tight. however it will not go into gear, with or without clutch pedal, and stays running, doesnt stall. new clutch three months ago

If your car wont go into gear when the engine is NOT started then you have a gearbox problem not clutch.you should still be able to get all gears without using the clutch pedal. The clutch is only there to stop you stalling when standing still,Its possible (but not nice)to drive and change gear without a clutch.Hope this helps.
