What does it mean when I get a ESP not available message in my 2007 c320 mercedes? could that message cause my windows, turn signals, gas needle and speed needle not to work

hi, this could be either fixed on your onboard computer by switching the ESP function back on, or you will have to check your rear break sensors for possible replacement.

Just replaced my key the ignition switch and the esl in my c230 98 Benz. Worked for about a week and now the esl will not unlock the steering or start the car. Is there any way to reset the esl? All three components are new I don't understand the problem .what causes the esl not to engage when you put the key in the ignition

The ESP message came on because the battery went low causing your steering angle sensor to lose syncronization. There are 2 different ways to resync the steering angle sensor. One way is turning the steering wheel from lock to lock and the 2nd way generally involves just driving the car around like normal and it will resync on its own. You will most likely just have to drive the car around until it resyncs on its own because of warning message your getting. When it says see owners its because in the owners manual there is a description on what the message means and what to do to fix it. Basically it just tells you to drive the car. The "ESP" system helps correct oversteer and understeer by breaking the inner or outer wheel as needed to get the car back on a straight path.

If the unit is bouncing quite eratically, this is an indication of a gear/motor issue in the speedometer itself. There are places that repair these but are few and far between. Check out Silverstar Porsche/Mercedes auto recycling in CA. Great service and resonable on prices and will ship. Replace the speedometer.

Check your oil pressure!! Sounds like a loud lifter or maybe valve

I had the exact same problem, went to the Mercedes dealer and they fixed it for free with a pair of pliers. They just pulled up the metal clips and turned them back into place.

i change the rad on my 07 e350 but lost some oil in the process.
after driving the car for a few minutes it started to slip.

Sunflower Hi...My ESP light is on and while I am driving my wheels lock. What could this be? It started doing it while I was driving about 20 or 30 mph but now its been also doing it while im going about 40 to 60 mph.. It almost caused a really bad accident. Someone please help!!
