Bought this car used and I am trying to figure out how to program my cell phone to use through the car system.

sum thing is draining the battery,cell phone,radio,lights,brake pedal, look around the compartment. then look in the engine compartment see if there is a wire off sum where. lol.

try using a scanner 9code reader to reset the CPU program as it sound like the program is corrupted from the battery change.

Hello and welcome. this vehicle doesnt have a bluetooth option. it does have a cell phone that works thru the onstar system. however you have to have a active onstar. you can have this sytem activated at any time. just have to sign a contract just like any other cell phone provider.

In order to get step by step instructions I would recommend your owner manual. Other than that, mose phone systems connect through bluetooth and there should be a "connect" button. Or, check your cell phone's bluetooth device and select "search" to see if you can connect to your vehicle.

lol well the reason they can charge that insaine amount is because they are the only ones who can do it. GM (along with all the other companies) Will not release the codes or programs for it. So I hate to say it but ya up **** creek.

I know what the problem is but never tried to resolve it. I have a 1998 XJ8 and went through the same problem. After numerous attempts to program the 4 channel built in opener I researched the problem and learned that the system in the car actually changes the code after every use. It's a security feature built in to the system. I simply started keeping my remote in the car.

There must be a way to disable the automatic randomizer so it retains the code from your remote opener everytime. Check with the dealer to see if it can be disabled and you will be in business. Please post the info if you get it.
