My fog lights will not turn on. The green light on the fog light switch turns on, but the lights don't. I changed the fuse, but the lights still don't turn on. Any suggestions ?

SOURCE: Fog lights on 2000 Subaru Outback are not working

check that the ground wire is connected to ground. You can test the switch with an ohmmeter in the ohm position to see if it's good. You can test power to the switch from the battery or fuse, or whatever power source you are using.

SOURCE: everytime I turn light switch on the running light

Replace the fuse with a flasher and test light. Then disconnect wires one at a time, that go to the different running lights, in order to find out which one is shorting out to ground. There should be 2 wires to the fuse at least, with one for the front and one for the back. When you unplug the short, the flashing test light will go out. Then try to narrow it down from side to side. Etc. Look expecially where there had been any accident damage, where a wire could have been pinched and the insulation cut. look where wires have to go through holes in sheet metal, where sharp edges can cut insulation.

2006 Jeep Wrangler dash fog light indicator does not come on. Fuses checked and multifunction switch replaced. No power to the fog lights. Where do I look next?

check fuse 19 in underhood fuse box. Check for battery voltage coming into the MF switch on the red/light green wire. Then check for battery voltage on the white/yellow when you turn on the fog lamps. Next, check for battery voltage on terminal B16 in the relay socket after pulling the fog lamp relay

I wired my fog lights for the power into the fuse box, but they stay on all the time when I turn on the car. I have them wired into my low beams, but I only want them to come on when I turn on my low...

OK, you need to connect a relay to one of the 'power' wires under the hood that leads to the bulb of the low beams. Then, the fog lights will go on only when they are turned on or off.

Otherwise, you could have a relay that is controlled by a switch that independently operates the relay and thus the fog lights.

Both methods are legal in, Pennsylvania, anyway.

Sometimes hooking up the relay to the fuse box will only turn the fog lights on if the ignition switch is turned on for switched fuse box contacts. And, sometimes, hooking the relay to the fuse box will keep the fog lights on all of the time, as the fuse box may be energized at all times at certain contacts.

Good luck on installing your fog lights, correctly.

My 2002 Lexus GS300 fog lights will not turn on. Where is the fuse for the fog lights? Here-to-for, I've changed individual fog lights but neither operate now. Please help. Mike

The fuse for the fog lights could be in the Fuse Convenience Center under the dash or in the Engine Compartment. It is most likely a fuse, relay, or could be the Fog Light Switch. You need to test each one starting with the Fog Light Switch first,

My headlights on bright and fog light is not working. I have changed the bulbs and they still don't work. The fuses seem to look okay. What else should I look for? Do they have another fuse or circut fuse...

Most fog lights turn off when you put your brights on. Check their operation in normal mode first, if they turn off when you turn your brights on... this is normal.

To disable this you need the wiring diagram for your car, you will have to cut 1 wire to be able to have all your lights on at the same time.

Fog lights stay on when light switch is turned off

I just fixed this problem on my wife's PT. It was the switch on the column. Her car has the fog light switch as part of the head light / turn signal switch. The lights stayed on after turning off the ignition and the lights.
You will most likely have to replace the switch.
Unless you are lucky and a skilled mechanic / electrician you may be able to open up and fix the switch like I just did.

Fog lights not coming on when turn switch

It is possibly the light switch that is faulty but before you change this make sure you check all fuses and relative relays
